  1. i feel sorry for all onboard.this has been handled very poorly by rcci since you guys left port.very bad way to do business

Have patience. Im on here too. The captin and the crew are doing the best they can in this situation. The cruise is free, they gave us free movies, internet is free, we get 50% on our next cruise of the same price. We are arriving three days earlier then we're supposed to, people have to figure this mess out.

  2. We were on the Magic earlier this month. Had a great cruise. My 15 year old had a blast with the O2 club. Made friends that she is still talking to. I never worried much since it was 15-17 in O2 club and supposedly supervised. I found out last night that one of the boys she meet in the club and was still texting and talking to was actually turning 20 soon. I asked where on the ship she meet him and she explained that he was in the O2 club every day hanging out with them. He told them he didn't like people his own age so he'd go hang out with them. According to her there was another guy the same age hanging out part time in there with them. The scary thing is he is supposedly dating another 15 year old he meet on the cruise and making plans with her to go see her. My daughter decided to tell me about it when she found out the other girl she meet and talks to daily is dating him and planing on meeting up with him as soon as she can. It's very scary to think about. I just wanted to let everyone know our experience so your not as trusting of the O2 club as I was. I should have been more aware of the ages of the kids my daughter was hanging out with. I'm not sure what carnival's policy is on age limits or how they enforce it but it was not enforced on our cruise.

 I'm not a parent yet, but this is very good to keep in mind. Thank you for sharing.

  3. Anyone ever had a Hurricane Wave..... :)

After watching the Fun Force show we headed up to Deck 11 to see if we could see any of the Oil Platforms in the Gulf. And we did. If you are on a ship heading back to New Orleans they will be on the Port side of the ship. We entered the mouth of the Mississippi River around 10:00 pm and it takes about 8 hours from the mouth of the River to reach the Port of New Orleans.

We are watching for Oil Platforms

We headed back to the cabin about 11:30 so that we could get the suitcases out into the hall for pick-up.

The BIG BLACK DICK had arrived.....PLEASE DON'T JUDGE :D ;)

  4. Thanks everybody. My dad was told Thursday that his kidneys are only functioning at 30% so dialysis is in the future. My dad's first question to his kidney doctor was "Will this affect my ability to go on cruises with my daughter." The doctor told him absolutely not.....when he starts dialysis he will do it at home.

It wasn't quite the news we were expecting but we have to face it head on.

Briana I'm soo sorry to read this. My heart goes out to you and your family.

  5. Yes. If finals are the reason then it certainly makes sense. I hope that's the reason. I would hate to think he won't be back to finish the review. I will probably think of his girlfriend every time I see someone order the fruit plate. lol

Well what can I tell you about that week? For those of you who know me by now, I am a nervous wreck prior to any cruise. Something different happened this time around, for some unknown reason I was incredibly calm. I guess I was just ready for the cruise to start.

This trip was a little different since I had to fly to get to port so we were limited on what we could bring by weight. In addition to that, I did not feel like hauling too much stuff across New York. I also took advantage of a not so busy work week to get everything finalized and printing all the air, hotel and cruise documents.

Since my last review, I learned a lot about camera care. Now, my # 1 concern is to check everything before a trip and to make sure that I have all the essential cleaning equipment with me, just in case the problem appears again while in vacation. With all my camera equipment packed and double checked I was ready to go.

Those last days prior we were super excited, but it was a very different feeling from our previous cruises. I think it was mainly because we followed this ship building process and were involved with it at all times. It was almost like our baby, and I know it sounds silly, but that is exactly how it felt. I think more than anything we were proud of her and happy that it was time for us to be a part of that story :D. My bf on the other hand was very irritated with what he calls my obsession. I can't blame him really :D, I did spend an awful lot of time on CC with this ship ;).

Another important milestone was to see the Breakaway docking in Bermuda for the first time. Up until her first arrival to Bermuda her ability to dock was in question due to delays in the repairs of the dock. That Wednesday, both mom and I got up really early to see the Breakaway docking, and it was a very exciting moment! This meant the world to me as I had very little interest in tendering for 3 days in Bermuda. That made my day.

I also decided to do something special for my bf since he was not coming with us. I took of that Thursday, and we went out for sushi and to see the new Star Trek movie, we are both Trekkies :). It was a fun little date, I really could not remember the last time that we had a date like that one.

The second couple we met were SOOO COOOL man...they managed to keep their IPAD dry ALL THE WAY UP THE FALLS....dont ask me how lol...And it took some awesome pictures with that retina display..

We exchanged Facebook information but she hasn't friended me as of yet and I forgot their information....I hope they do because they have some pics on the ipad that I want to post...

    Quick Note for those interested...

Of course they sell everyone thing that u need to climb...like water shoes....but they cost more than is you bring your own. Carnival was selling them for like $10...We bought ours from Walmart for $4. We also bought a waterproof Nokia before the trip and that's what took all the falls pictures.

Look at that. I love the smiles.

  8. With the Freedom coming to Galveston and we are looking into booking a cruise soon, we now have a third option in the freedom. We went on the magic back in 2012 and absolutely loved it, so I was wondering if we should do that, or try the triumph/freedom?

Wait Freedom going to Galveston . But but DW and I are scheduled to sail on her from Fort Lauderdale 1-4-15. Will Carnival cancel our cruise?
