Can you easily manage your luggage? And which schedule works best for you?
If you arrive to Venice by train, the Venice SLucia station is on the Grand Canal, just across the bridge from the Piazzale Roma. PRoma is the last point of land travel in Venice so it's where you find transportation to the airport. You can stay near the train station or PRoma for easy access to airport transportation and a vaporeto station for exploring Venice.
If you can't easily manage your luggage, the train might be the easiest option and chose a hotel within a few blocks. 'How Many Bridges?' hotel listings for Venezia Santa Lucia train station | Venice for Visitors (europeforvisitors.com)
If you arrive to Venice by FlixBus, you disembark at Tronchetto, which is a huge parking lot at the edge of Venice. In Tronchetto you board the PeopleMover (monorail) to Piazzale Roma. It's a 3 minute ride for under 2E. Flix also drops off at the airport and Mestre so be mindful of which destination you chose.
Alos, keep in mind that the Trieste train and bus stations are within a block of each other and about a 15 minute walk from the cruise pier. Easy flat walk on a nice day, but a long wait for a taxi on a rainy day.
Yes we can easily manage our luggage. Just went 1.3km both ways on old brick roads and sidewalks from the ferry on Isla Mujeres to our hotel without issues. What do you mean which schedule works for me? We cruise into Trieste. And need to arrange transport to Venice as we decided to stay there for an extra night and fly out of Venice the next afternoon

Either of those locations not at at all convenient, especially from near St. Marks. Agree, train is very easy to Trieste. Get a vaporetto or water taxi to St. Lucia train station,
Venice to Trieste, where a porter will take your luggage into the terminal. $5 euro a bag.
Would you recommend train the opposite way too? Trieste to Venice. Haven’t decided where to stay yet in Venice.

We have a similar time frame and are planning to go to the Acropolis and museum, Temple of Zeus, walk around the Plaka and Monastiraki Flea Market, and then also do an e-bike tour of the city at night, which was recommended by someone I know.

We ate at that same restraunt and loved it , we had a 15% coupon and the bill was only $550 Euros .
Was that a big party? That seems like an expensive meal!

We haven’t went yet but we have a private boat tour booked.
Would you share your tour info? We will be there beginning of August. I found one for Corfu but not Zak

Looks like we’re all set for these Greece ports. We’re doing ship excursions for Santorini and Corfu, a private excursion in Zakynthos and the beach in Mykonos.
What did you do in Zakynthos if you don’t mind sharing

how is this different than the free tour for Platinums and above?
Read through this thread, the differences are described.

@jpegcruise i think you will accomplish #s 2 & 3 but not number 1 very well. Not much shade and the cabanas do get hot with no airflow.

Now that your sailing is done, can you report back your experience with veuve/haven and veuve throughout the ship.
Their cruise isn't over until Thursday! (when I get on the ship!)

Hi,😀 I always pack one checked bag and one carry on no matter how many days I am sailing. I have never exceeded the weight limit, no matter what the itinerary happens to be. I think many of the folks are talking about only bringing a carry on (which I have no desire to do really). I like having some choices but I really don't consider myself a big over packer. Now, I am guessing someone who only brings a carry on bag probably thinks a checked bag is over packing LOL.....they can do what is best for them and we can be happy with how we choose to pack too😀
This is me too!

You don't need a different outfit every day or every evening. You don't need different shoes for every outfit. Mix and match. No one cares if you've worn the same thing before. You don't need to include a lot of extras "just in case" (aside from bringing a few OTC meds). I pack heavy compared to a lot of the PPs, but manage fine with one checked suitcase and one small carryon for a 28 day cruise. Doing laundry once every week or so is all I need.
I think between the two of us we will have one medium sized roller suitcase and two small carry on size. Problem is, my husband packs more than me! I'm gonna try to downsize a little tonight.

Yes, read the entire thread. The $50 credit is apparently not applicable to the tour.
I have read the entire thread. And I was just responding to the post below where you commented that the 50 comes off during the booking process ahead of time or is onboard credit after in response to the traveling man, talking about the tour. So I was sharing that in my experience, this did not happen for the tour.

If you book online, the credit is applied at the time you book. If you book onboard, the credit is applied after you take the tour. But you still get your $50 credit if you miss the bus - they don't keep track of who shows up. You paid, doesn't matter if you don't show up.
I am trying to book it online and the $50 credit IS NOT being applied at the time of booking for the BTS tour. (As it has for all my other excursions I’ve booked through NCL)

I have always received the $50 shorex discount at the time of advance booking. The ship tour does not receive the discount.
You know what? Me too. All of my previous and current bookings took the $50 off the top before I checked out

The $50 credit is applied to your on board account only after you have taken a tour. If you book a tour, pay for it, then cancel at the last minute (or miss the bus), you don't get the $50 discount and probably won't get a refund for the tour ticket if you wait too late to cancel.
That makes sense. Will it be a refundable OBC?

club balcony suites have a larger sink and shower. Plus some other amenities, like one free bag of laundry (small bag), a bottle of wine/sparkling wine in your room, extra latitudes points maybe, and two nights of goodies/treats delivered.
I'm not the right person to ask about packing, but... international bags can be heavier if I recall correctly and each person can usually have one checked bag included.
No self serve laundry on board, you can send it out.

The $50 excursion credit applies. But apparently the latitudes discount does not.
How did you get the shorex credit to apply. I just tried and went all the way to check out and it did not discount it by $50 at all.

I'm talking about cancel and rebook on the same cruise with the same CN credits. And I'm mostly referring to trying this past the final due date.
Yes, any experts would be appreciated.
ahhh, past final payment date doesn't make any sense to cancel and rebook as you would lose everything, cn certs, and all your $$$. But you could call and ask for a FCC if the price has gone down, or try to upgrade at minimal cost also if the prices have dropped

Thanks for this. I enjoyed reading through as I'm considering a trip on the Pearl next summer!
