Does NCL notify you if your bid is not accepted? Also, how close to sailing are you notified if accepted (or denied)? Thanks
We booked our Hawaiian Islands/Pride of America cruise on 3/18/18. I received the upgrade email on 3/28/18. I placed my bid the same day. I received an email saying we’d won on 4/5/18. We sail on 5/19/18 (next Friday)

We sail on the Pride of America (Hawaii) next week. We booked inside cabin and bid $200 on a balcony. We won! Pretty cool that we got a $1600 upgrade for $200. :)

I'm loving your review. We board a week from Saturday (5/19/18) and can't wait! Mahalo and aloha!

Thanks for the great review! I'm loving it so far. We fly out next Friday and will board the POA on the 19th. Aloha!

I read in an NCL Pride of America Facebook group from several passengers that they cancelled docking at Hilo today, due to high winds/surf. :-\

I knew you guys would come up with some good ones! Thanks, all!

Does anyone have suggestions on Hawaiian-themed movies or TV shows to watch on the (8.5 hour from Dallas) flight to Honolulu? We love everything, especially documentaries and comedy. All suggestions, though, are greatly welcomed. Mahalo!

I love Turo and will be renting cars using the app in Maui and Kauai. It was MUCH cheaper to get a convertible and a Jeep this way vs. the rental car companies on these two islands.

I spent a week on Kauai in 2009 and went to the Smith Family Luau. It was longer than I'd anticipated - my fault for not doing much research beforehand. It's fun to say I've been to a Hawaiian luau, but it's not something I'd necessarily care to do again, unless I was with a group who wanted to go. I'll be in Hawaii for 10 days next month and don't have intentions on going to another. :-)

I was very shocked that they upgraded us 6 weeks out. I only bid $200! Knowing how port intensive this itinerary is, and having spent just as much on the airfare as we did the cruise, I though I'd try to save a couple thousand and do an inside cabin. I checked online and saw they had a lot of balcony rooms and not a lot of inside cabins, so I'm assuming that's why. And it's our first NCL cruise, so I thought that may have something to do with it? Maybe to try to sway us from Carnival - which wouldn't take much. :')
I thought I saw that it was a connecting room. I'm hoping you're right. We had a connecting room on our last cruise with a group of loud away-from-their-husbands-and-in-party-mode ladies next door. It was a little much, but we're all there to have a good time, so hearing the ladies' drunken conversations was more comical than bothersome. :p

We're in cabin 10112 next month. How were your experiences? We were just upgraded to this room from an inside cabin on Deck 4, so we're pretty excited. On other cruises, I've usually been able to find photos of the room or a review, but not having any luck on the POA. Thanks! :D:D:)

Just curious why the turn around at Lindquist versus continuing on around through Red Hook and the south coast. Soem great lunch spots in Red Hook and Secret Harbor is a good stop too.
Thanks, Crewsweeper! I've added Secret Harbor to the route. We've been through Red Hook before but haven't stopped. We'll be sure to do it this time. Thanks for the info!
Have a great day,
Brad

Thanks for posting this. We will be cruising 4/29. Wondering if it makes sense to take a cab to one Beach or rent a car and explore.
Do you have approx cost break down?
Sent from my Pixel XL using Forums mobile app
Rhem- I'm not sure of the cost of a taxi, but a 4-door Jeep with tax and gas usually runs us about $150. We've had an economy car that ran about $95 with tax and gas refill. If you're up for an adventure, it's hands down cheaper than doing something similar through an excursion.
Enjoy your trip!

Hi all! I've been to St. Thomas twice and will be returning in two weeks. We always rent a car and drive to our favorite spots. I've made (and used in port) this Google Map and thought I'd share. If anyone has any must-see spots that aren't included, I'd love the feedback!

Thanks!

I've created a Google Map driving tour of St. Maarten and I'd love feedback on the stops. We'll be there in two weeks and will be renting a car. If there's anything that should be added, I'd love the feedback! This will be our first time there and we're only there for a day. We're thinking a little beach time and a little shopping with food in between.

Thanks!

The Hub App is now live on the Fascination!

We've done the Chef's Table twice and both times it was during one of the two formal nights. We are sailing again on Apr 30th. I'll try to remember to update you after the cruise as we're doing it again. :-)
Happy sails,
Brad

Hi all! Will be arriving to port in May. Does anyone know if any car rental agencies have a "port pick up" option or if any of the rental agencies deliver the cars to the port? Any past experience with a car rental agency in port is appreciated, too!
