I just got an email to bid for an upgrade.. I am in a premium ocean view room and the bid also offers me to bid on a premium ocean view room . Why would somebody bid on a room category they already have?  There is also Upgrades for Balcony rooms.

Can you use OBC at the casino.  Princess exchange rate is better than the bank ,so I would like to get some to use at the casino .Is this allowed?

Your first purchase only freezes the conversion rate for any OBC that you have (and since you stated you don't have any OBC then it won't apply for you). It does not freeze the prices of the different items available through the cruise planner.

 

If you purchase now and see the price go down you can cancel and repurchase at the better rate.

Strange that you're getting an exchange rate of 1.35 whereas in my cruise planner, my OBC rate is $1.32 CAD. I'm guessing you're not going to be using OBC for your pre-purchase?

No I do not have any onboard credit, Paying with a credit card . Thanks everybody for the help .

Yes, the rate could change. The only way to freeze it is to purchase.

Will that freeze everything .. eg buy dining package now at 1.35 ,so everything else will be at that rate...drink package, excursions and so on if I buy later.

On my cruise planner my drink and dining packages are offered at 1.35 exchange rate , with the dollar doing better will this rate change .

I am Canadian also... I booked a cruise for January 25 th, 2014 directly with RC.. All transactions were done in Canadian dollars on my visa... I bought the drink packages for hubby and myself also, but changed my drink package ( now that we can ) and got my visa refunded in Canadian dollars..No exchange rate to deal with...

We are stay 1 night post cruise, so we have the full day in Fort Lauderdale( flight 8:30 next morning) So if I decide to use aeroplan for my hotel I have 2 choices Sheraton Beach on seabreeze or Westin Diplomat on south Ocean Dr. Which one would you choose and why?

First time Cruiser....I booked Bernard's 9am tour for Jan.29th . We are on the Oasis and will be in port 8am to 5pm. I received the email where to go and to be there for 8:45..great!! Then I noticed some posting about ship time and port time. How can I find out if my time in port is on the same time as St Maarten's ?

We will be in fll on the 23 rd of Jan. , our cruise is the 25 th. We would like to go sport fishing the day before cruise. We have looked at Fishing Headquarters, the price seems good ( 125.00 each for 4 hours) , are they good and reliable. Any others we should look at .... Thanks ......
