We are going on the October 26th sailing of the Equinox to the Southern Caribbean for 10 nights and then on the January 12th Holland America oosterdam cruise to Eastern Caribbean for 7 nights with our son who's an actor in New York but will be performing down here in Florida. The information is correct. Also back in the threads it said you need to present your drink card and your crew scarred or key card. That is totally incorrect everything is on one key card now as it has been for several years. If a person is traveling for free as part of the package in your room they are not required to buy a drink package if two people in the room have the signature package. Again I just confirm this by phone.

Our price was LOWER than Celebrity Direct with 3 promotions which we do use. Who would refuse PAID GRATUITIES UNLESS you were in an elte status and the status already had that in description!

Many groups book. Ernie and I go independently and booked this a month ago.We just upgraded to balcony deck 6 for a few dollars more as a handicap became available, Again we got as promotion 2 classic drink packages, ALL paid gratuities and a $250.00 shipboard credit and this was for OV only. Upgrade adds nothing.This is our 25th cruise.Love and use the perks from which we can select!

I believe the issue might be that some of the people posting RNA sweet category Elite category or on the category above that where these things are already built in automatically for the category so the perks they get mean absolutely nothing to them. Just like you mention you are part of an elite status or whatever status you are and you get 480 minutes so getting more minutes really wouldn't make really beans of a difference. It doesn't matter either way to me all I know is what we got with an ocean view and we've been in a sweet we've had balconies I'm perfectly happy. I use a Rollator so I have a handicap room and I may have a scooter so who cares. All I'm saying is it's going to work out

You would turn down free gratuities for the length of the cruise? That is one you don't have a choice you use them everyday and you are charged per person per day. If you are given a drink package the drink package even if it's just the regular includes juice soda water and regular coffee I assume you have liquid during the day correct?

My friend is a PA and sometime they can go in and get better rates depending on the number of people they can get for any cruising! The promotion may be offered by the cruise line along with something the TA Ed on and onboard ship credit. When you buy a car you can get the basic car of the basic price but you have to buy the extra special add-ons you want. They might been give you a better price for cash or a you pay off your Finance before the period that you agreed on. We have always gotten extremely Fair bargain with celebrity which only 2 3 or 4 perks. We generally sit with 8 people at the table or maybe 10 and we buy far get the lowest rates. I am not allowed to mention DTA agency with whom we deal but I can say it rhymes with people who work the ship spelled differently and the opposite of pro is. Been very lucky with them we are very happy and I also signed up Ernie and myself for the meet and greet

A 'perk' is FREE,They are PROMOTIONAL.Choosing a cruise without is one thing and depending on BOOKING agency via web or personal TA vary greatly.EX! A cruise we took to Carribean awhile back gave us 3 free perks when booking which was embarking OFF season. The SAME cruise and same ports BUT different frame which considered PRIME season had NO perks and 800 more.There is a rhyme or reason for everything.We live in FL so we always see massive fluctuations!

Varoo you don't add perks they accompany the discount.Seniors may get more than military and vice versa.You dont pay for them!

After renovations no matter WHERE, there are increases!!!.Going to another line s good option. Maybe more flexibility on type of room. Suites are nice but we have had them with finer dining and no big shakes.Sleep in the room, maybe beverage on balcony, but not confined to room.You need to get what fits your style. When we have gotten the free gratuities for two of us the cruise we haven't paid a penny getting the drink pass package classic drink package just a promotion when it's done before the cruise it includes drinks up to whatever price and beer up to a certain price of beer up to certain price and no gratuities on that so you know you're perimeters. Ship would credit always has been what it has said it's going to be. Be fine dining what you do pay for if you book it on the cruise but if it's giving us a purse you don't pay anything he got to find dinner and if you order a bottle of wine it's not part of your drink package course you pay for it. If the perks come with the promotion they are free if you're talking about cost of the cruise the websites very on how much you can pay for the cruise and what perks they offer that's a different ballgame. Like anything else which is business-oriented such as hotels Airlines excetera prices change according to season, prices often can vary within 2 weeks just like Airlines giving one high price and then dropping it. What is it that I don't understand?

Free perks doesnt mean you drink til overboard.We dont drink our perk level either so it still has NO bill. Gratuites always aplus and with seated time dining if we have stellar service and we generally do always give waiter and asst an monetary envelope away from our table group. If we have Great service with room steward we do also.Grats a day is peanuts for staff by the time they divvy it among staff. Day before cruise end you see folks at customer support desk demanding gratuity removal because they had AWFUL service.Never will they pin point but are cheap bast....s who shouldn't be cruising in the first place. We have also enjoyed Norwegian the smallest ships like the sun and Holland America although even though I'm a senior your Trucking sometime to Walking Dead! We were on the celebrity Mercury the last Cruise before it went to Germany. They were no children literally on board and we called it the Red Cross ship. This was before I started using a walker or rollator when they sayp at10 one night I went to the nightclub and it was closed. I remember saying and banging on the door is anybody in there and they opened it and said everybody our passengers were sleeping. They let me in and I partied with the crew. Again that was 10 years ago

If you are on a 7 day cruise cost for a classic package is $385 per person for a 670 total. Gratuities for 2 for 7 days around 200. yu are saving NOTHING by going without!Check ur math toots!
