I can't log on in safari today. Normally it's just fine. It brings me to the website but won't log me in.

I know this has been mentioned before since I have read up on some threads. What I still have a question on is multiple people. My husband and three kids are taking a zipline tour next week in PV. There will be multiple people helping them, etc. throughout the six hour excursion. How in the world do you factor in tips for all those people for four of us? I can't break the bank as the excursion was already pricy but I won't go without tipping either. Do they split tips if you give it to just one person or do you have to be tipping all over the place? Likewise, a catamaran down to las caletas will have entertainment on board. Do I have to tip all of them?

Since we will be gone on Easter, my kids got to pick a few of their favorite candies, a small bag of goldfish and some nuts. I put the sweet in one ziploc with their name on it and salty in another. I found I like those little munchies that you can't find on the ship. We love it when playing cards or hanging out in the cabin. We just put ours in a suitcase

Leaving on the star Sunday. We aren't drinkers but wondered if they do fix smoothie, non alcoholic type drinks at all and how much they would be. My kids want to splurge one night and get a fun drink.

I never noticed any ice cream offerings while on the Jewel last summer. I'm sure dh and I would have ordered a banana split!!!! ha!
Is the ice cream only offered on certain ships?
We were on the jewel a year ago and never noticed any ice cream offerings either. I hate how it isn't complimentary. My kids prefer just ice cream, not fancy desserts. So they used to have a brownie sundae and took that away?

Does the star have these ice cream selections? I hope so! We leave Sunday!

That's good to know! I too, would just rather print them at costco when I get home. Thanks for your help!

So the pricing is per person? Or I can pay $129 and get it for my husband and three kids?

Ouch! Guess I'll take your advice and eat dessert at the buffet!

Do you have to pay for the Carlos bakery items?

Food that I don't have to cook for my family always tastes great! Can't wait for a week of no cooking! :)

The non cruise excursion was fine with her age as I asked about it already so I guess we will go with that one. Thanks all! It will be fun!
-
Why will it let me buy her an excursion if they know it?
-
I found an excursion for cabo to book for my family but it says minimum age is 8. My dd is 7 1/2. They said they check documentation and she wouldn't be able to go! Most ship excursions for cabo say age 8 and up. Feeling frustrated. The same one booked off ship will cost $110 more total and they accept her fine...would be interesting to see if it was the Sam company. Her dad would share the kayak and would paddle out just fine with her. Grrrrr, has anyone fudged and gotten away with it or do they really check it on the ship? I can load it in my cart online just fine.

We received a $220 credit back to our credit card account when there was a price drop a month ago. We leave a week from Sunday. :) Price dropped again last week but I didn't see anything come through--yet... :)

So in cabo the excursion people are saying pickup at 1:50 with drop off at the tender pier at 5:30. Ship leaves at 7. Can I assume all will be well? :)

I have yet to be on a cruise where the ship time and local time are different. Every cruise we have been on have asked to change our clocks to match local time - even if it is for just a day. One cruise I was changing the time so often I wondered what time zone I was really in:eek::rolleyes:
Ha, ha!! Reminds me of our first cruise several years ago to Alaska. Time changed several times and with the sun being up until who knows when, I never knew what time it was!
-
Just realized that daylight savings starts in Mexico while we are on the star! I'm getting a headache thinking about it!
-
We are going on the star in two weeks and I wanted to know if the ship time matches the local time. I'm thinking of booking an excursion off the ship and need to know.
By the way, is it okay to mention an excursion company on here?
-
I'm looking at booking a kayak/snorkel tour with a company in cabo, not with our ship. Do they function on a different time than our ship time? I read somewhere that they are an hour ahead. So if they tell me that pickup time is 1:50 and they will drop us back off at 5:30, whose time is that?

It's just a rumor. I live in Cabo six months a year, I am here right now.
The arch is in great shape. Lover's Beach as well as Medano Beach have shrunk, but they will regenerate themselves. Tours are going out daily to the arch. The whales are one of the biggest populations seen in awhile. They are still plentiful right now.
We will be in cabo in just over two weeks. Think the whales will be all gone by then? :(

So don't take the towels from my room? Where do I get beach towels then?
-
Do I need to bring beach towels for my family to use on excursion days or can we take our room towels?

Wanting to go to stone island on our own and wondering if we can rent SUPs and kayaks there? Anyone know how much?
