  1. hi Diane, Am wondering if you found out anymore info or pics on B746. Would love to hear from you. Thanks, Wendy

    Hi Wendy

We travelled on the Diamond Princess Sydney to Japan back in March in B746 and loved our cabin - the balcony is cut out of the hull and and is at an angle so you can see all the way along the side of the ship, but it is very private - no one can see you unless you are looking over the rail - it also had a bit more space because of the angle than the other balconies that our friends had.

Also the cabin is at the end of the corridor ( near the suite which looked fabulous - had a sneaky peak) and therefore we had no noise at all from people passing our cabin.

Plenty of room in the cabin - loads of wardrobe storage - shower was a good size - we really enjoyed our trip on the Diamond - great ship.

Have tried to attach a couple of pictures hope you can view them - the cabin's balcony is the one cut out of the metal at the back of the ship and the other is the view along the ship from the balcony standing at the railing

    all the best Diane

  2. Hi Perthjay85

We are travelling in October and are quite concerned re the comments made about the suites on the Pacific Aria - we have splashed out for a suite on this trip for the extra space and luxuries and from the comments made it seems that maybe we should have booked a balcony cabin instead of a suite due to the Aircon problems etc - do you know if all the Suites have had the problems with sewage and the Aircon - we are in Suite 10002

Thanks Diane and Don ( we are from Perth )

  3. Hi Ricky - just found your reply re B746 on the Diamond Princess - we are travelling in that cabin and wondered if you had any further comments advice etc - we are not travelling till 2018 so plenty time to change cabins if needs be - any photos etc would also be interesting - Thank you Diane

  4. Hi Sandra

Thank you so much for your feedback on the Astor Christmas trip - really useful - couple of questions if you don't mind - what was the dress code like in the restaurant - my hubby doesn't like wearing suits and jackets etc - did you have to wear a jacket/tie in the main restaurant?

Also what was the charge for the sauna/solarium etc.

We have booked the cruise - an outside cabin on the Atlantic deck so hopefully the cabin will be nice - really looking forward to a relaxing 10 days - all the best Diane

  5. I was so excited to read the Astor was being based at Fremantle for the next 3 summers :) It was going to be a long lonely summer without a single ship calling in for months, glad someone saw a hole in the market and filled it! I had read recently that the cruise market in Oz and particularly WA had grown by more than 30% in last couple years.

We have already booked the 10 nights to Bali and return over Christmas and the follow-on short 3 night NYE sailing. We'll have family (10 already at present) from 20-30 Dec 13 and then a few mates (hopefully) from 30 Dec 13 to 2 Jan 14.

The website is www.cmvaustralia.com no au after it. Their invoicing on-line is not quite up and running, but Lauren (I think) assured me our bookings were safely there, and we would get emails with invoicing details soon.

It's great they have a few 2-5 nighters for weekends, love them :D

Hello Sandra - we are thinking of booking the Astor cruise that you did last December to Bali and wondered what the cabins were like - any info you have on the ship, cabins what the cruise was like etc really appreciated - thank you Diane
