Not everyone is a food snob.

Just because you can afford "better", doesn't mean you care all that much.

My wife and I like to go to Ruth's Chris once a year for a really, really good steak, but the rest of the year, we are perfectly happy with "pedestrian" fare.

I didn’t take it that way..

what I found very disrespectful was the woman who said pretty much anyone below the age of 65 only eats McDonald’s and has no idea what food is.

The point he made is I’m pretty sure people spending thousands of dollars on Cruise vacations aren’t only eating McDonald’s.

Hilarious. You think a family that can drop $15k/wk for an Icon sailing is used to eating at McDonald's and doesn't know any better as to what is good food?

Thank you. I wanted to say something a few minutes ago, but I held my tongue. Thank you for doing it for me.

The cruises out of Nassau are for people who want to cruise in the worst way, and they get just that.

Two days at perfect day Coco Cay, then Cozumel and a crappy stop at Freeport.

    what’s your beef guy?

The worst way to cruise right now is leaving out of Florida with all those mandates and restrictions onboard. That’s wanting a cruise in the worst way and getting just that!

having to remember to put on your mask every single time you leave your room, no thanks!

    Enjoy your next cruise! 👍

I'm guessing in the end the varying protocols won't matter at all.  Every ship will have positive tests now and then at the end of a cruise.

They matter big-time they help prevent the spread if it wasn’t for the protocols it will be just like that princess ship that made the whole industry look bad.

    enjoy your next cruise! 👍

Our itinerary is different. Coco Cay today. Sea day. Cozumel. Sea day. Freeport. Coca Cay. Then saddest day ever…

I actually kind of like that better I would’ve loved to end our cruise there instead of a beautiful industrial port of Freeport!

in my opinion your itinerary layout is better than what mine was.

i wish I was on that ship with ya!

    The vaccines are definitely working.

Exactly instead of going to the hospital and getting on ventilator you’re either going to be asymptomatic or have a minor cold. Out of that 167 million vaccines given I believe there are still only 1000 deaths after the vaccine way better 95% efficiency.

If anyone wants to dispute the number of deaths out of the vaccine go right ahead I’m just recalling a Fox News excerpt without looking it up on Google.

whatever the number is it still way way way better than 95% efficiency.

We as cruise passengers would not even return alive to the ship if we would wonder beyond the fence/into the poverty, that's the hard reality I think.

You can say the same thing for parts of Los Angeles, Chicago, New Orleans, New York City, San Juan, Detroit, large swaths of Florida, etc….

someone stated before they went on a tour that actually take you outside of the ““ fence and they came back alive. They went to some fishing village.

just because one is poor does not make them an automatic murderer.

No one said it is the CDC that is making this requirement.    The protocol for the Harmony sailings to begin in August out of Spain are about the same or maybe slightly stricter and the CDC has no say in Europe.

It could be the cruise lines making their own decision.    They may also be making their protocols companywide to prevent any confusion with staff.

Right now there is too much confusion.....if I leave from the bahamas on adventure or if leave out of Florida on Freedom or if I leave out of Alaska on the Serenade, or if I leave on Jewel out of Cypress, etc etc.   it's getting too difficult to keep track of the different protocols and would make sense for them to have companywide policy on their health protocols to prevent any confusion with staff, etc.

There are many here who have said directly or indirectly that once the CDC is out of the way, its back to normal for cruises out of the U.S.
