Any update on this? I go on the Epic the 9th of December and chose the free UBP add on. Roundtrip Barcelona and all EU port of calls
-
We have the UBP on our upcoming transatlantic cruise on the Escape. Was wondering if we will have to pay any taxes on drinks while in port?
-
Price of drinks must be going up
-
So then you are making a comparison based on not even sailing on the Allure?
Bill
My comparison is based on my experiences with two RCCL ships
-
Our experience is that the food and service on NCL is far superior all across the board. Activities are better too. Can't beat the waterfront and the water slides on the newer ships. The shows are real good too. We were originally booked to go on the Allure TA but after our last experience with RCCL we changed it to the Escape TA and we are really looking forward to it :)

We stayed in a suite on NCL Jade and we found having breakfast and lunch in the Cagney's restaurant to be a real treat. Maybe our standards are low, I don't know.

Love NCL food. Definitely a step above Royal Caribbean and Carnival

Hi, Tipperary vs Galway are playing Sunday in the Hurling. Will there be any way of watching the game? Thanks in advance

What is the pain you see when people are wearing shorts i might ask?
-
So, you just made up the part about people avoiding cruising for fear of having to put on a pair of pants?
The fear of not being allowed to wear shorts on casual nights. I know that when i go to all inclusive resorts the dress codes are much more relaxed. That's what young people want
-
I didn't say it would be. I don't see why the thought of putting on a pair of pants would scare someone away from cruising.
My point is that it should be optional and not required.
-
Seriously? Won't go cruising because of the fear of being expected to wear a pair of pants to dinner?
I don't see why wearing a nice pair of shorts would be bothersome to anyone
-
Yes. I am in my early 20's and I know many that won't go cruising because of this. We are in the 21st century people wake up

Sailing on the Vision in 3 weeks and want to book the 3 specialty restaurants. On their website it says "Onboard credit is applied on Day 1 of the cruise". Since Izumi is a la carte with no cover charge, is it not included?
-
I thought $35 was stretching it
-
Wear what ever you want. You will not feel out of place. I have dressed in jeans and normal t shirts on formal nights before and have never been turned away. Some people will judge but that's just some and it tends to be the older demographic. Its a new day and age.
-
No. On Vision the front is blocked off.
Permanently blocked off? We might stick with the jogging track as it goes all around deck 10. Thanks for your quick reply

We are back from the Jade now and yes they have the new menus. Food was excellent
-
We love this feature on the older ships
-
We really enjoyed these menus on the Epic and Getaway. They offer more variety. We are wondering if the new dinner menus are on the Jade? Thanks in advance
-
NCL's new signature dessert is the Warm Chocolate Volcano. It was on the everyday MDR menu on the Getaway this month. We much preferred it over Carnival's Warm Chocolate Melting Cake.
-
Just off the Getaway. There is always a crowd at Sugarcane Mojito Bar when he is working there. Great guy

Hi, our transatlantic cruise arrives in Miami on November 8 2015 and on that same day we need to get to the Port of Fort Lauderdale to catch our next cruise. Is there public transport available? Taxi only? Thanks in advance
-
That's good to know. I'm hoping the Epic will have them by Thanksgiving. Will be very hard to go from what we had on the Getaway back to the old stuff.
The Epic currently has the new menus. Food was excellent on transatlantic cruise.

We booked two rooms in two separate bookings. One booking is fully paid for and the other booking has just the deposit down. We want to change from the Carnival Victory October 27 to Carnival Ecstasy October 27. Will Carnival let us change our bookings with out losing our deposits and will we be charged extra?
Epic - UBP - VAT?
in Norwegian Cruise Line

If you booked through the US website do you still have to pay VAT on every drink?
