  1. Does anyone have any knowledge of this area? I just booked a cruise on the Silhouette and "after the fact" got concerned about noise from up above being the pool deck. I thought being "on the bump" gave me a bigger balcony but I am second guessing my choice. If anyone can help with their experiences, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

  2. Hello. Have not sailed on Royal Caribbean for a while, and just booked on the Jewel. Looking at their web site, I couldn't find anything for a package deal for coffee drinkers while on board. Could anyone enlighten me if something is available for coffee only that I might have missed? Thanks.

  3. Hi JimHam4: I have booked the same cabin on the Connie for later this year. Can you tell me how big the sofa is in the cabin? Is it a love seat or full size sofa? Also, can the bed be separated into twin beds? Does the shower have multiple jets in it or one big shower massage type of head? Is the shower glass enclosed? Thanks for any help you can give. Enjoy the rest of your cruise. One more question...is the balcony angled?

    Thanks! :D

  4. We just got off the Regal last week in a mini-suite. We had to call for help twice while on there for the tv's. Same problem. We were told we had to draw the curtain half way because the signal from the remote is bouncing from one tv to the other. Nice, eh?

  5. I did the land portion first in June. I must say I was pleasantly shocked on how great the luggage was handled. You got your large luggage and our "carry-on" that we used on the plane delivered right to the hotel waiting for us b4 we even arrived at the hotel. Then you put everything you'll need in your carry on and keep that with you for the duration of the land tour. The big one ships out the first morning you start the land tour. You wont see that again until you board the ship. Every morning of the land tour you leave the carry on luggage outside your room to be picked up and brought to the next hotel. It was always waiting for us when we arrived. When we went on the train, we were told there really was no place to put a "carry on", and we again, left it outside our room and it was waiting for us when we boarded the ship. People who had carry ons the train were asked them to leave them with the stewards and they got them when we got off the train. The system worked well. Hope this helped.

  6. Does anyone know about these on the Regal and Royal? I'm booked on a regular mini suite mid ship on the Regal. Not sure if I would want an upgrade to this if it became available as it is in the front of the ship and some balconies I see have limited access during sea days.

  7. I don't know how others feel about this but I do wish Princess did something about people "saving seats" at the pools. We were up at the pool in the early morning and just about all the seats were "reserved" with a beach bag, bottle of water, or towel. I was on Holland America's Eurodam where there were signs all around the pools saying it was not allowed. I hope Princess does something to put this into a more controllable situation.

  8. Sure, I was in C707. It was around 8 mini-suites from the back of the boat. There is a nice little balcony to sit on with lounge chairs there. In the front of the boat it is great for viewing the canal. No need to run all over the boat looking for somewhere to go. It's all on that deck. Very handy. We stayed on the boat during the transit. Did the LaPopa Monastery trip in Columbia, Trolley Roger in Grand Cayman, and Butterfly Farm, Rock Formations, and Shopping in Aruba. It was very nice...but HOT. Costa Rica just did shopping around the ship. Was there before so kept it to a minimum. Remember to get a good price from the vendors. They are willing to negotiate. The buffet opens at 5:30 a.m. so you can get something good to eat before you leave. Breakfast room service is awful.

  9. Just back from the Coral. Had a guaranteed room mini-suite. Was notified about the room 3 weeks before. Ended up on the Caribe deck near the laundry room. No problem with noise at all. Quite handy to get your clothes done. $2 for washer, $2 for dryer. Food was very good. Room service breakfast was awful. You had a egg sandwich that was worse than a sandwich you get in a gas station. The only gripe I had was the room was not ready when we came in. Had to complain 3 times to get results. Then the room was tidy for the rest of the trip. I think they got the hint I was annoyed. The shows were good, could have been a little more to do on board. We did experience some down time. But ultimately, we had a nice time going through the canal, it was a great experience. Shore excursions were done in an orderly fashion which really did help move things along.
