  1. I have just bought new lightweight cases, they are 12 inches deep (will squosh to 10 ) Will these fit under the beds on Celebrity Eclipse ?

Yes they will, you might have to lift the bed up a bit, but they will slide under nicely

  2. Sorry but I have to ask would this also be a no biggie at your local Applebee's or Chili's. I would think it is a biggie in the dining room on the ship. Who wants their drink after eating?

    Good point boaterette!

    I think you're right.... I wouldn't accept it at a local restaurant.....

I suppose on vacation I am a lot more "easy going" about stuff. At home I'm a lot more wired and would probably call the manager over if that happened!

  3. OP ordered a drink and only received it after the meal. Sometimes they never received the drink. Some of you think it was OK, and OP should expect that kind of service from Carnival?

I don't think we should "expect" it from carnival, but it does happen sometimes. Actually happened a few times on our cruises last month....and those were 2 rccl and one carnival, so it happens on different main stream lines and no biggie.

  4. I just remembered another one....a couple was in the whirlpool on deck 10 aft port side on Independence last month, and they were engaging in activities that should be reserved for a private setting!!!

Anyway security came and the woman started getting mouthy and aggressive with them.....sure enough, they grabbed her and escorted her away fully naked....luckily there were not a lot of children about on the ship(during school before Christmas) but it was right there out in the open.

  5. Lol not sure about bringing a whole bowl to the table, but I hear it goes well with chips as a dip......

We always wipe our cabin down, remote, light switches, etc, once we forgot to bring lysol wipes so I just soaked a hand towel, went to the purell dispenser, soaked it with purell, came back to the cabin and wiped everything down......I did get some weird looks from people trying to figure out what I was doing.....

  6. I think it is a cool idea. Sorry you've been subjected to such rudeness. CC did not used to be this way. :(

Agree, this site is about cruising...fun stuff....some people are just uptight, let them be and enjoy yourself!!!

The star trek theme would be kinda cool! Where no one has gone before.....

  7. Not too many people have anything to say, so THANKS to you two for giving me a bit of info. MUCH appreciated!:D

We were just on Indy B2B last month!

Ships are quite similar, but staff is excellent on indy.

Raj the concierge in the suite lounge is very good, but gustavo in the diamond lounge is excellent, (bring him butter cookies), when you meet him, you'll know why I said that.

  8. To add to this, we were on a cruise once, having dinner on a big table. There was a couple on their honeymoon and they were traditional in the sense that it seemed to me that they had just started living together and everything else that goes along with that. It was new to them.

So we get our salads and start eating. The young couple were sitting across from each other, as were the other couples and kids, except for my wife and I, I was sitting at the end and she was to my left. All of a sudden, I see something fly out of the chest area of the girl, fly in an arc across the table, and land in the plate of the person sitting next to her new husband. I felt the hardest kick in my shin...and my wife said don't you dare say a word!! (she knows I was gonna have a field day with this one).

The item was a padded insert in one of the girl's girls. Her face turned beet red, she got up, reached across the table grabbed the insert which was half moon shaped and about 3/4 of an inch think, and literally ran out of the dining room.

Just as I was about to crack a joke my wife again whispered if you say a word I'm gonna kill you.

Anyways the girl returned and regained her composure, sat down as if nothing happened, and continued eating.

By the end of the week we were all laughing about it because I just couldn't stop myself from bringing it up!!!

    It was hilarious......

  9. You don't earn the points until you complete the cruise.

Overall the benefits in rccl are the best, but you have to complete the cruise, unlike carnival, who's benefits are...well...really nothing other than boarding, but they promote you to the next level when you embark on the cruise

  10. Hi bank1. I guess we'll just have to wait to see how it plays out. But I can tell you that if you book a Cunard suite, you don't have to row. :D

We do get a perk tho, we get hand crafted oars designed and made by ancient Polynesians, regular cabins get machine made plastic oars....

  11. Do ocean suite or above passengers on Carnival get more loyalty points (or sea days) we don't cruise carnival very often, princess a few times, and P&O....

Was wondering if you get rewarded double for a suite on Carnival like royal Caribbean does...

    Thanks in advance,
