I think they finally turned a corner, the vacuums came back this am. Our room attendant said they are still deep cleaning tomorrow just to make sure but it is def better than the last 3 weeks (despite the 1200 kids on this sailing).

My guys are 6 and 9 and cruising in November. I'm planning for khakis (color of their choice) and a button down for each formal. For dinner every night I will have polo's available with jeans or nice shorts (not sports shorts)

My kid is in the minority that he actually does get sick (got kicked out of the kids club for 24 hours and needed to get cleared by medical after he threw up one day). We gave Dramamine (I think it was 1/2 a pill) every night at dinner and no other issues.

Do diamond members still get a discount on Voom? Is it worth getting the package pre-cruise or using the coupon offer on board. Previously we used the free internet for 24 hours and then got the Voom package with diamond discount (year ago on Allure).

I ordered "sangria" on allure before a show and it was vile. We asked them to remake it and it was still horrific. Not sure if one of the other bars would do a better job.

We cruised in December and tried Samba. I will agree the location was a bit odd but the food tasted awesome. We were really disappointed we left it for the last night because we likely would have eaten there a few more times during the week.

We just got off explorer today with our 3 and 5 year olds and they have late stay 10pm until 2am for $7 per hour. Our guys only stayed until 10pm but they are begging to get back on the ship (we created this mess ourselves ;)

I think bagging the remote is a fabulous idea. It's likely something that doesn't get wiped down between passengers.

 

 

 

LA_CA_GAL...not all remotes are the same size & shape, so trying to fit your home remote is pointless.

Thanks for posting that. That's exactly what triggered this question. I will bring a quart size just in case. I'm traveling with little kids and we will be washing our hands as usual, but I can't get them to stop touching the remote :/

We are on the 1/31 explorer sailing. I just ordered the medical grade stuff. I plan to decon our rooms (4 rooms - we are traveling with family) as we get on. After extensive research Regular Clorox and Lysol are useless. You need the medical grade stuff with bleach.

If you look at it in person it's basically harness straps with no crotch strap. If you have an active child, they will simply slip out the bottom.
