We are currently en route to Durnstein eastbound; just passed Viking Freya westbound at Melk

I am on a Danube cruise right now and have seen at least one Avalon ship moving between Passau and Linz but don’t know about any other part of the river. There are apparently web sites that allow you to track the location and movement of specific boats.

I saw an AmaWaterways rep in our Prague hotel this morning who indicated that their boats are operating normally.

Thanks for this report! Hopefully by “the end is nigh” you mean end of the low water levels and not The End via biblical deluge.

I was worried about my cruise next week being canceled. Now I wonder if I should order a kit for an ark...

Very much appreciating these posts. Scheduled to board a boat on the Danube 9/15 and beginning to be a bit concerned. We’ve already paid for flights etc so we will go regardless and will also try to make the best of it.

Interested in hearing what’s happening with others on the river as well as how people are making “lemonade” of the situation.
