  1. Just back from 16 days in the Med. We used RomeinLimo for our tours in Rome and Naples. If we could have brought Carmine (from Naples) and Nicola (from Rome) home with us we would have. These two men made our limited time in these locations special and quite memorable. The special touches and clear intention to satisfy us made the journey absolutely wonderful.

We would not hesitate to recommend RomeinLimo to any of our friends, and we will certainly use their services the next trip to Italy.

And...a special shout out to Jany for her amazing orginization and care in handling our reservations.

We also had Carmine from Naples - Did he take you to a fabulous (rustic) place for lunch outside of Portofino? Did you meet Mama? He truly made our one day in Naples spectacular, as well!

  2. We, too, are just off the Voyager of the Seas 5/2/10. We used Rome in Limo in Naples - and I would have to say - the best part of our entire cruise. CARMINE is the BEST! We shared a tour with a young couple we met here on cruise critic and then on our ship. Carmine was there as soon we got off the ship - and immediately we were off in our Mercedes for our adventure of the Amalfi coastline. He brought us a bottle of Limoncello as a gift.... but this was not all he had in store for us. We stopped at a beautiful village called Ravello, Amalfi, Portofino and Sorrento. He knew of a very rustic family-owned and oeprated "trattoria" in the hills of Portofino where we had an amazing Italian lunch - all homemamde by "Mama" who we met and photographed.

The views for the restaurant were as breathtaking as the homemade lunch she prepared -a long with GREAT red and white wine.

I highly recommend Rome In Limo - But particularly CARMINE! He also stopped on the way back and gave each couple a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine for a parting gift! The most wonderful guide and tour!

  3. We also sailed Carnival with sons and nieces and nephew and had a fabulous time. We aren't taking kids on our Alaskan cruise next June and I spent lots of time researching ports of call as BQ suggests to do. I had my heart set on seeing Glacier Bay which eliminated Carnival. I wanted to do a north/south itinerary and ended up choosing Princess for many different reasons. Do your research and decide what works for you. You'll find loyal and disgruntled fans for each cruise line. Good luck.

We chose the Carnival Spirit for a multitude of reasosn - It DOES do Glacier Bay. But mostly because we got a great aft suite with wrap-around balcony for a prettyy good price. We had been on her sister ship, the Legend, and (contrary to some opinions) found Carnival to be an upscale cruise experience. So there you go. ENJOY!!!
