  1. Yes, as long as (1) the room occupancy is rated for the number of people in the room - if the occupancy rating for the room is 'up to 4 guests' then you can have up to 4 but not add a 5th guest; and, (2) the ship is not sold out based on occupancy numbers.

  2. We would never take a chance on making same day flight arrival reservations. Too many things could go wrong. Paying for a hotel room the night before the cruise leaves is a lot better than missing the cruise. Hopefully they can get a refund.

  3. When are you cruising? We are sailing out on August 25th. We are staying at the Pan Pacific on Thursday night and booked the Cruise package rate. The hotel is connected to the cruise terminal and the rate includes breakfast for 2 in one of its restaurants plus they will collect your luggage and take it to the ship. All you have to do is walk on the ship.

  4. We use Vacation Vaults. They come in different colors and have a cable that will wrap around the frame of a chair or other item so no one can run off with it.

  5. For those that have been to LFK...where did you keep your valuables when you were on the snorkeling trip? Because I've never booked outside of the cruise ship, I would think we should bring our passports with instead of leaving them in the safe aboard the ship, in the event we miss the boat and need to get out...suggestions?

I emailed them and they said they do not have lockers but you can "leave your valuables at the bar"...not so sure I'm hip on that idea.

We used a thing called a Vacation Vault. It has a cord you wrap around a chair or a post. It has a 3 digit combination. Very sturdy. We use it to keep our small cameras, Sea Pass card, money, credit cards, etc. in. Comes in many colors.

  6. FYI - Cityviewtrolleys.com is currently selling the tickets for $9.00 / adult ticket and $8.00 / military, senior and student. Children 12 and under are free. It did not state any expiration dates.

  7. A suggestion for groups going to Little French Key - Have 1 or 2 members of the group take a taxi there as soon as they get off the ship. That way they can get to the island before the rush and reserve an area for the group. Wish we would have done that. We ended up waiting quite a while for the transportation from the pier then again at the dock before getting on the ride to the island. We were a party of 6 and by the time we got to the island all the group seating was taken and we could only find 4 seats together. So when it was time to eat, 2 had to sit on the ground. And only a few of the seating areas are covered - and it does get hot sitting out in the sun.

  8. Hi again' date=' Has anyone seen any good deals for the Panama Canal at Christmas (this year, OR next year?) Will be going solo. I can't go unless it's very near Christmas, as I need to go during a school break. Thanks![/quote']

Royal Caribbean is having a special for the month of May. For sailings in 2015, the first person is full fare but second person is 50% off. Depending on which cabin you choose, this can save you more than $1,000.

  9. Royal caribbean wrote to me in email, stating frozen non alcoholic drinks were NOT included in the royal replenish package... however I have seen on Here that it IS included. So confused lol. Can someone please confirm.. are they or aren't they:confused:

On our March 9th cruise on the Navigator of the Seas, non-alcoholic frozen drinks ARE included. I had this package and enjoyed many frozen mai tais and banana dreamsickles.

  10. We were there on March 10th on the Navigator of the Seas. There were 2 Carnival ships there also. We picked the $88 package and made our reservations in advance by e-mail with LFK. We were packed on an old bus to get to LFK then had to wait in long lines to pay and then to get on the boat to the island. By then almost all of the chairs had been taken. There were 6 of us and we could only find 4 chairs together. No one greeted our boat for the guided tour that was supposed to be part of the fee we paid. We had to wait for kayaks to use. It felt crowded, not as relaxing as we had thought it would be. When we made our reservation LFK was only allowing 100 visitors at a time. That would have been great. But with the huge crowd that was there it was not worth what we paid. The Carnival visitors took up the prime seating and the kayaks. We will not return to LFK as long as it allows so many on its tiny island.

  11. Yes, there is a section by the pools just for suite passengers. On each side of the pool bar is a set of stairs leading to the 12th deck. At each landing on these stairs is a row of loungers in a roped off area with a sign stating this area is for gold (suite) SeaPass holders.

  12. We were there on March 12th. It was our 1st time there. When we made our reservation back in November we chose it because it was 'private'. When we got there it did not seem so 'private' with all the Carnival cruisers. It was hard to find a place for our party of 6 to be together. The buses that they used for transportation were old and we were packed on them like sardines. We then had to wait until the 3rd boat transfer to take us from Frenchy's to the island. Yes, the island is nice, but for the $88 we paid per person I wanted the uncrowded experience that he promotes in his description of his place.

I think by opening it up for people to book it through the cruise line instead of individually he will not maintain his ranking on Trip Advisor.

If we were to visit Roatan again I am not sure if we would return there if it remained an excursion that is booked through the ships.
