I'm not getting married on a cruise, but we are taking one for our honeymoon. Here is my dress at my fitting last week.

After checking out the venues, we had lunch on Lido, then went down to Guest Services to let them know we were leaving. We then spoke with the lady who was supposed to do our tour (the wires got crossed and we didn't get that message). She attempted to answer our last minute questions, but she didn't speak the best English, so we let her know we saw all we needed to see. She told me to let Sajay (with the main office) know my preferences, and they'd see me next month.

 

I'm so glad they do these tours. They are SO informative, and it really helps to see the venues! :D

 

I hope this review helps some other couples who are considering the Pride. I've seen quite a few Pride posts lately. She is a beautiful ship. You are making a great choice.

Sajay is our coordinator also, im confused because on our tour of the Paradise she said we could not try the lido buffet whatsoever...

SO our wedding is June 13,2015 & I sent our coordinator photos of what I'd like & was told no problem..now what we'll actually get on the big day idk.. but I am bringing topper & some silk flowers & ribbon so its whatever.. heres some photos of what I liked.. MY FAV IS THE FIRST PIC, BUT NO ROSES, INSTEAD PURPLE HYDRANGEA WILL BE USED & A SILVER/GRAY RIBBON. THEN THAT IS THE CAKE TOPPER WE'LL BE USING.

So our wedding is June 13,2015 & we're doing charcoal & grape as our colors.. Groomsman will be in gray slacks & vest w no jacket, and different ties with purple & gray in them.. My groom will be in gray converse & I'll be in purple as will my 8yr old daughter who's flower girl. my matron of honor, my sis will be in gray & my bridesmaids in purple.. and my mom found a beautiful mother of the bride smoke gray dress with sparkly jacket. The picture of me & my sister & me, the blue dress will be the purple color & the purple one my sis, MOH has on will be gray..

I know there has to be more opinions & reviews on the hor'dourves because depending on package that's what you get w carnival! I'm dying to know what everyones thoughts are... please share.. our coordinator couldn't give us any descriptions on the alternative options... so doesn't help much...

Thank you for the price list! Also what a great picture, so they will allow a guest to stand by stage to take pictures? That's AWESOME!!!

Ok so I am getting married on Carnival Paradise from Tampa,FL June 13,2015 =) And have heard mixed reviews on photography packages.. can someone list the different pricing options & maybe even some photos-especially of this highly spoken of coffee table book! Also will they allow a guest taking photos during wedding as long as no tripod set up & not in way of carnival photographer?

Sajay, our coordinator said we couldn't do lunch on Lido Deck on day of our tour, said No time.. =/ Do they normally allow it????

Thank You for sharing pictures!! I love all the photos, really helps envision how itll look. I LOVE the fruit in martini cups- I prefer that over the platter.. We for sure want to spanakopita & everything looks delish but will pass on melon pruscuitto. LOL

Yum.. thank you for those tips!!! Do you have anymore pictures of the food table & cake? So you didn't like the prucuttio & melon? the one pic with the stuff egg canope looks like the roastbeef & brie is that right?? what all were the food options you chose? I wish theyd let you do a tasting..my fiancé & myself are foodies & want the food to be amazing.. also... what cake flavors did u get?And what did u think of them?

Ok first I wanna say THANK YOU for starting this wonderful thread!!! I emailed my coordinator Sajay regarding the alternate menu, which I needed to anyways especially with my mom being newly diagnosed with diabetes- to ask about a special meal for her, she gave me the menus for the other hordorves BUT I'm disappointed she said my mom can have a fruit cup vs the cake! WTH! Theres tons of sugar in fruit.. doesn't Carnival cater to sailing people with diabetes with providing sugar free desserts??? I want my mom to be able to enjoy herself & feel normal! Also got the list & pictures of the signature cocktails which my fiancé LOVED! So has anyone had any of those??? He is liking the Caribbean Romance the best he thinks.. do you pick one of two drinks?

Anyother secrets PLEASE share!! I wouldn't have known to ask if it weren't for this thread!!! Yall are awesome!!!

We are doing 2 different favors, both unique & inexpensive. We're ordering bulk muslin bags & had a stamp made with our names & wedding date & anchor on it, we'll stamp the bags in purple(one of our wedding colors) & fill with salt water taffy. The other a cute custom Koozies with a cruise ship & date on it. Figured both practical & useable!

And this is the short bridal I'm wearing to the formal dinner.. it has a applique flower on hip area..

So me & my fiancé are getting married on carnival paradise on embarkation day so his fam who isn't sailing can all attend. Now I know the ceremony will be 15min, then reception 1.5hrs, then we have photos after.. so I'm going to change after all pics into something comfy but want to put my bustled gown back on for dinner that night, formal or informal I don't care. The fact that my custom dress w everything was $1200 makes me want to get the most out of it! I also got a beautiful short bridal dress to wear to the formal night later in the cruise, this is our wedding cruise & we want it to all be very special & with it being our honeymoon also I want it to be all about our new marriage. So wanted to get everyones feedback, even though I'm not changing my mind LOL.. I think with a typical wedding, a ceremony is like hr in a church & receptions like 4 or 5hrs.. so I just wanna get my moneys worth is all.. and if its bustled it wont be a PITA..

Ok so wetook the tour of the CarnivalParadise & we saw 3 bridal groups where the grooms wore sleep eye masks to not see the bride. so I would advise that as the coordinator I asked said they can try to prevent seeing but id say take the extra step w a mask & its kind funny seeing grooms in pink masks! LOL Mine will be in a leopard print mask!

to explain the picture.. our colors are gray & purple. My sister is my MOH & will be in gray, my bridesmaids will be in the purple.

I live in FL & we're getting married on embarkation day, we got silk purple hydrangeas & some purple peonies at Southern Hospitality in plant city fl. My mom is making all the bouquets & boutonnieres. Our colors are gray & purple. So mine with be white hydrangeas with touches of the purple. I wasn't into the white roses from Carnival- so will use that or make up a small separate bouquet to toss. It is important to me to have our personal touches since its limited since carnival handles everything.. so we're having this large wood anchor as our guest book, we're doing 2 separate favors, small muslin bags w a personalized stamp with our names & date on it w an anchor w salt water taffy inside. Then personalized koozies.

Hey Juliana-

So tour was good, we were told to be there around 11am so we were there probably 15min early, I'm glad I printed off the letter from our Wedding Coordinator (I was never told to bring it) and they checked the DL#s on paper with our DL. Then a lovely lady named Pam took myself, fiance & my mom upstairs to the holding area where it was pretty packed.. so there was 2 weddings going on that day, we saw both parties hanging out waiting, saw a lot of bridal party dressed ready to go, and I learned the most interesting thing, me & my fiancé don't want to see each other before & carnival said they'll try but cannot guarantee this as its one large room, well both grooms for the weddings had one eye masks! one was sitting next to his bride with a hotpink eye mask on LOL other grooms was black, so I'm glad I saw that idea & will totally be doing that as well! So then we had to go have pic taken when they scannedour badge then finally boarded the ship.. now this was about Noon- so the wait was bit long & the people working were snappy at times..

So once on board there was like a welcome crew dancing to the loud robin thicke blurred lines that was playing in the atrium. Set the mood for fun times! Well Pam brought us over to meet Francesca our tourguide. She took us to the Leonardo Lounge which she said was small and would hold like 20. Was nice but wouldn't work for us, when I told her like 50 guests she took us to the Normandy Lounge/Main Show Lounge the one wedding party was doing rehearsal.. OMG I LOOOOOVE that room! It has a stage that we'd be married on, and nice sitting arrangements, and best of all a large staircase that I'd come down, and my bridal party would comedown isle on one side & grooms on other, meet in middle & walk to stage. Then we went to where I know our reception will be since we pre booked DJ, in the Rex Nightclub,which I LOVE! It has animalprint EVERYWHERE which I'm a big fan of! Its not tacky though, just animal everywhere, showed us where everything would be, buffet table for food, table for guestbook(we're not doing a guestbook but I found a large wooden anchor that is flat on back & has the thing all set to hang it, we're painting that gray & having everyone sign it w purple since those are our colors in lieu of guestbook, then we'll have small wooden treasure chest for cards, & the box for favors- we're doing small cloth bags that we'll stamp with a personalized stamp w our names, anchor & date & filling bag with saltwater taffy, & also can koozies. I loved how spacious the room is, plenty of dance space & TONS of seating so it'll be perfect!

Then we went to my least favorite lounge, the Queen Mary where the comedy acts take place, all I can say is the setup wouldn't work for a wedding! Imagine yellow round booths EVERYWHERE like all in middle & shoved like so close, you cannot walk down middle of isle, so they ask u to walk on side to the middle! Its like 3 steps in front of everyone & then your there & after being pronounced married gotta separate again! So BIZARRE!!! So after 5min I saw enough there, we wernt offered lido lunch which I wish they had, also wish we would've gone to look at a room like ours, and pool area. But yea I'm just glad we saw nightclub & where we're prayingour ceremony will be- already put in request.
