  1. It's not a lot of time, but you will still have time to see the island. Take either the Old Town Trolley (http://www.trolleytours.com). If you don't get off it takes about 90 minutes, but it does stop and so if you want to visit the Hemingway House (great tour) or the KW Butterfly and Nature Conservatory (lots of fun) it will drop you within a block. The tour will also show you Old Town which is really fabulous with the old wooden houses and narrow streets. Trust me, you will want to come back for a longer visit!:)

  2. They Ducks are nesting. The Navy took their boat ramp back so the Ducks can't splash in or out of the water. There are still lots of great things for kids to do. The glassbottom boat Pride of Key West will take you out to the reef. KW Butterfly and Nature Conservatory has two new flamingos which are lots of fun, the Key West Aquarium has some fun interactive exhibits where kids can touch stingrays, conchs and crabs.

  3. Why not rent a bicycle? The shuttle will drop you Mallory Square. Mel Fishers is a two minute walk from the drop off point and there several bike rentals within a 5 minute walk. Fort Zach is about a 15 minute bike ride from Mel Fishers.:)

  4. The Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory has added a pair of beautiful flamingos to their menagerie and are great to see. If you are here march 14 - 15, Old Island Restoration has their House Tours which are always lots of fun.:)

  5. Cheaper is not better. City View will not refund your money, Old Town and the Conch Tour Train both will for any reason. Buy online and you will save lots over what they charge on board. I would go with the Conch Train over the other two. It is concentrated in old town, goes slower which is great for pictures and makes stops near the really great stuff to see.

  6. Take the Conch Train and get your bearings, then just wander around Old Town. Duval Street is pretty commercial but if you go a block over on either side, you will find the charming wooden houses, great restaurants (Louie's Backyard, Santiago's Bodega, Ricky's Blue Heaven, its a great food town). For history there is the Hemingway House and the Truman Little White House ~ both have great tours and the houses are pretty neat to see. It's a magical little town.
