  1. Everett WA:  This A.M. "Pea soup"!  Our view from the 5th floor apt is of The Port of Everett to the left and the Navy Destroyers to the right.  There are only four street between our street and the entrance to the Port Property.  So close.  Could not see beyond Rucker, where we are.  When on a clear day we see The Olympic Mountains.  Locked inside, in one room "they" say,  Any thicker and it will be go  hide in a closet.

  3. Just read the updated info on Cruise Critic.  I know now, considering who my fav Cruise Lines are, that it is going to be awhile.  So, I'll focus on that which can be controlled.  Now that the OUTSIDE World is opening up, think that is what I may do.  Start walking again.

  4. It is with deep regret I say the people that actually live in that area, yes, it is true, no longer have safe homes.  If the Governor does not step in and clear the area.  It is hoped that President Trump will.  This will of course be the end of the career of the Mayor.  I believe she is on the brink of collapse.  All of Downtown Seattle is in a state of suspenseful waiting.  Is there even a City left?  All of the businesses all of the monies invested in the Business, all of the IRA's invested here are in jeopardy.   There must be a ton of Law Suites slated against the City Council already.

  5. Well here in the Great Pacific North West GPNW - a place called Seattle.  I am ashamed to say.  With all of the Demonstrations and Rioting and therefore contacting that went on I think our do nothing Governor will probably want to isolate all of we law abiding citizens again. Too late, to stop it as the Antifas now own Seattle lock, stock and Mayor!

  6. Ditto on the so called NEWS!  Doctors are now prepared to see all of we regular folks again.  So playing catch-up in that department.  Dermatology today,  Hair cut  and color on Monday report time 07:45 that is A.M. !  Lots of hairy people, we are being nick named Troll Dolls!  Too cute, thought maybe Cave Dwellers was more fitting.  Now am the proud owner of a wardrobe of face masks.  Found out the hard way, that those white things we call masks from the Doctor offices carry with them chemicals that can and will cause skin irritations.  Hence the trip to the Dermatologists, I had a brain storm two nights ago when I thought what was the last thing I added to my routine MASK. Researched that and YEP.   New masks are pure cotton. Seems the Cruise Lines are really chomping at the bit, me too.  I'll also say being isolated really, in part was therapeutic.  I think I'll slide back into this re-emerging slowly , while wearing my lovely new masks.  Never did give up the trips out to the stores and to gas up the car.  With everything closed what to do?  Now the Malls are beginning to open.  Amazon may not like that.  Weather wise in the Great Pacific North West, we are having a hard time holding on to Spring.  Rained a lot with slight bits of hail maybe Thunder today.  Showers will continue.  But the Sun is trying to win the Sky, eventually will.  Aloha

  7. Coopco:  enjoyed your email because it hits the high notes and low notes perfectly.  Looking back in time to WWII when one of the big things was the rationing of meat, butter, fresh produce.  When Historians write about our rationed items, masks, hand sanitizers and toilet paper I imagine it will still be a subject of jokes.  But what your note also feels like is what I believe is happening to us.  I am picking up on a sense of acceptance now, not only from you but others too. Not a mellowing, but a "rising to the occasion".   As all of this sinks in, the losses are not just numbers, they are people, jobs, savings and goals.  That is a lot to process. But why we write here is because we know we can adapt and will to the new way.  It will take awhile, but I'll be back out there with you,  cruising.   Keep safe &  Carry on.

Like LuckyTgo, we live in MA...(SE part of state)...we aren't expecting snow here tomorrow...but it's going to be COLD, rainy & windy...we were supposed to be flying from BOS to LAX TODAY to stay in LA overnight and start the 1st of our 2 cruises on 5/9.  We expect to celebrate our "non-cruise"  by having Margaritas and an international meal tomorrow.   We just reached our 52nd anniv. this week---would have celebrated that on this trip...stocked up at our local liquor store today (or "Packy" as we call them in these parts...LOL).

We all just have to do what we can to enjoy our new normal!🍷🍹🥂🍸

So sorry about that.  Having had to cancel at other times I remember feeling quite sad when thinking about where "we should've been" on that day at that time.  However sounds like you have the situation well in hand and glass. Congratulations!

  9. We are champing at the bit here in WA.  The weather will flash forward to late Spring, Sun and Warmth beginning Monday. Still must wait until the 7th until things begin with Phase One.  Do not think the Gov. will be able to hold this tight control for much longer.  We were one of the first to be affected by this Virus - back in January.   So, four months is just a bit too much to allow for another month of slow starts.  Some not taking effect until June.  More and more people are out walking, so I think that is going to be the thing to do for many soon.   We have received "rave" reviews from Drs. Brix and Fauci for our ability to act like responsible adults.  Hmmmmmm?  Ahhh, well....Time will tell how long that will last.

  10. Loved the idea of Raccoons being a "Poster  child" for COVID-19.  Really clever.

And if Arkansas did not require a plane ride, I'd be on the phone to any salon right now. I usually wear my hair shortish. but now!  After a restless night I walked into the bathroom two mornings ago looked in the mirror and thought crossed my mind I need to find a cave.

  11. Hello, We out here on the Western fringes of the known flat World, The West Coast of U.S.A. Known as Seattle and other places, are being true to form.  The Gov.  says hang in there . I say "have you seen my hair"?  Maybe tomorrow we will be allowed to have a professional "trim" - soon.  Cannot complain about the Here & Now, it is the looking forward that is a bit of a problem.  This is Cruise Planning Time, or so it should be, it is there that things now verge off the path for all things that are planned when one decides to TRAVEL The Travel Season out on the West Coast as most of you know, deals with trips to Alaska .  All have been cancelled. It is not that alone, it is what then and where are the ships and how will THEY ??! fix this before Fall or the Holidays or Yoicks.  Never the less I was tested for COVID-19 -do NOT have it, never had it, the battery in my car does not need to be replaced, just given a whole LOL and battery juice.  Who's driving?  If like me you learn you reeeeeeeeally need to get that car moving Or the car battery will cause (as I found out) a lot of calls to Roadside Help.  It all ends well, so I'm without COVID, my battery is great and my Cruise Plans are still in the making.  Nothing wrong with that! Cause I'm still here and looking forward to another Cruise-  one day soon..

After mixing up a  batch of Mai Tais from cool cruiser's rercipe. (a Canadian of course - we have relatives no slander intended) I decided to do a little Princess Cruising via what=t passes now for a meet and mingle.  LOVED Mr. Van Gogh's stylish ear bob.  Thanks for the laugh. Still am not quite sure are we masks up or masks off.  We in the Seattle area are actually doing well think we will start easing off the brake soon.  Wishing you all well.
