  1. I was recently on the Spendor. Passport photos were used. Once at gangway, the employee thought my photo scan was too dark, so she took another with her "IPad". Sail and sign cards were in our mailbox, I was nervous at first, but everyone is in the same situation and it was fine. You are able to purchase drinks with your boarding pass with no issues. I believe they are trying to speed up the check in process which works for me. [emoji846]

  2. Call Insuremytrip.com. They are great! They will ask you what you are looking to be covered for and get you the best plan. Very reasonable. Also a lot easier than navigating ALL the plans on their website. I just called today for my cruise in October.

  3. After learning the hard way, I now put 2 tags on my suitcase. In separate spots. After my stapled tag got torn off during transport from dock to ship. Had to track down our bag through guest services after it never arrived to our room.

  4. Does anyone know if the Steakhouse and Cucina del Capitano have children's menus? We will be traveling with our 2 kids- age 13 & 10 and they are not big steak eaters, but we LOVE the specialty restaurants! Also don't want to pay $35pp for the kids to eat a burger.

    Thanks!!!!

Not sure about the steakhouse, but the Italian rest. did have a kids menu. Saw it at table next to me.

  5. I got off the Breeze two weeks ago, and was really glad to see that Carnival was actually monitoring/policing the lounge chair hogs. There was a guy keeping an eye on all the loungers, and if he saw one vacant with stuff on it for a certain amount of time, he put a warning sticker on the chair with the time recorded. If the sticker was still on the chair a certain amount of time later, he would collect the items and free up the chair. We got front row lounge chairs by the pool this way. The people came back 3 hours AFTER he cleared their things (so they had left their things on it probably 5 hours earlier!!) and luckily weren't mad when I explained that the staff had taken their things.

The first sea day was definitely the easiest day to get a lounge chair. One time when I couldn' find open loungers, I went up one deck and found a rattan armchair with an ottoman. I kept my eye on the chairs below and when I saw a couple start packing up their stuff, made my way down there and got their chairs.

It's pretty easy to get a lounge chair on deck 5, and the decks above the lido deck. They're not by the pool, but they face the ocean, which is usually a better view (haha).

    Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info! I've seen so many reviews and pics on CC that have helped me, I'll have to take some pics myself and return the favor. ;-)

  6. KP... The Breeze is a beautiful ship and we had a great time. I can't say I "Loved" it, because it is too large for my personal taste.

annbuono... I heard that people were seen putting towels on chairs as early as 5 or 6 am. That's insane! I would say that you should get a decent spot near the pool if you're up there by 8 or so. We lounged quite near the blue iguana tequila bar, facing the big screen. Only problem there is it's quite shady until around 10-11am. We ate at Cucina del Capitano on Friday night and really enjoyed it a lot :).

adams... Overall, we had a great time, but we went specifically to do nothing and relax. Must do? Have fun! Must not do? Don't be picky about little things... Just go with a good attitude and you'll have a great time!

Thanks for the info!! So excited, can't wait!! I'm on CC almost every night! Driving the hubby crazy! LOL.
