  1. I've already booked excursions on 2 out of 3 ports of call on our cruise in March 2018. We stopped by Nassau on our last cruise and were less than thrilled. I'm looking for some ideas of what we can do that isn't an excursion from the cruise line. We're already doing a beach day at CoCoCay so that's out. I really wanted to tour the city and explore but not in an enclosed vehicle. My husband wants to check out paradise island. And anything involving a boat is a plus for me. Any ideas? What experiences have you had?

We took the public bus, filled with locals to the end of the line and back. Bus stop was by Senor Frogs, cost was 75 cents. On the way back got off at the Gardens. Back on, then stopped at fish fry for conch salad and rum. Then back to the ship. Great day !

  2. I agree with the original post.

A truly upscale cruise line would keep the hamburger off the dining room menu in favor of a steak, but gladly agree to go out to the poolside grill and deliver one to you as an off-the-menu request .

But you see, Princess is mid scale, not upscale. Never was or tried to be. You folks that are so upset over Princess offering a burger in the dining room need to pay higher prices and cruise another line.

  3. I saw this on my last Princess cruise in November....could hardly believe it! How shameful. The next month I went on my first cruise on Oceania and WOW....what a difference!! Especially the food - there was lobster and steak freshly grilled everyday in every restaurant!! Even the buffet. And no extra charge for specialty restaurants.

I'm almost Elite on Princess, but am sad to see them sliding down in quality. My last 2 room stewards did the basic cleaning, but we never saw them otherwise - didn't even know their names. I think Princess is probably giving them more cabins so they don't have time to give excellent service. Sad.

I couldn’t disagree more ! We are elite, having sailed on every Princess ship. We love have the option of a delicious burger in the dining room vs having to eat by the pool. And why didn’t you introduce yourselves to your steward? It’s not a one way street. Yes, they have a lot of rooms and if you had inferior service, why didn’t you report it? Passengers should board with common sense.

  4. Can anyone explain why you would choose to spend a day at a resort like a million other resorts throughout the world when you only have one day on one of the most iconic islands in the world? I just don't understand the logic.

  5. We have been to Cuba 3 times through the only legal means available to a US citizen, a people to people cultural group. We've been to 14 of the 15 provinces. If I can answer any questions about your upcoming Cuban experience, you can email me at ritalou1125 at att dot net. Please put CC Cuba in the subject line.

  6. It's not really a winery and their "wines" are not the traditional "made with grapes" kind of wine. It's pineapple, mango, coconut, lychee, etc. As a confirmed wino, I cannot recommend any of their "wines".
