1. My favorite was the amazing secret river (Rio Secreto). They take you to Playa del Carmen ~ you go thru a blessing ceremony before you enter an underground river. It was fantastic!

This looks amazing! I'm going to have to research this.

  2. We did a Christmas and New Year Cruise on Brilliance a few years back and LOVED it.

The ship was very pretty and festive. We had a gathering to sing Christmas carols in the grand stairway. (This was amazing having that many people singing)

Santa made several trips walking around on the deck and through the ship. (The cruise compass told us where and when to find him)

We recieved Christmas gifts from RCCL. We got a travel bathroom organizer, a travel wine opener, and a photo album.

We really enjoy the holiday cruises especially when your with your family ever night at dinner.

    Have a great trip!

  3. I have been looking into the behind the scenes tour but there is not much information that I have come up with, has anyone on here done this and if so what were your thoughts?

They say many souvenirs are given what are these?

I would love to take my son and get pictures of him on the bridge! But for us to do it $300 seems a little steep to me. But still to early to judge this so I would like feedback.

    Thank you

  4. I was a bit fuzzy on the pre paid gratuities this last cruise (Jan 2014) and said no I like giving cash to the people in person. I like to be personable. So I did not do the pre paid. When I was on the ship the gratuities were added to my on board spending account on a per day basis. I went and talked to the guest relations and they said there is no way to track if you really pay in cash or not and that some "personel" might not share all the cash.

My point of disagreement which I didn't argue but made sure they knew how I felt was if my cabin steward is beyond amazing which he was I gave him a little extra where as a certain bartender that I came to know was horrible and would ignore guests and make sub-par drinks I would give a little let. In my opinion which everyone has one, I will pay you what you are worth, even if your not great you will still get a tip since its one of your main incomes but you can count on not getting anything above, if you work hard and do your best I will make it worth your wild and show that you have earned it.

So now knowing how it works you either pay before you go pre-paid or you pay at the end of your cruise on your account I will pay before and take the extra in cash for those who earn it.
