If I'm not mistaken if you are a Verizon wireless customer you will have data while in ports . I asked Verizon this and they stated yes because Alaska is in the US as long as the towers are receiving the signal we r set. So rather than dish out that ridiculous amount of $$$. This is my second time on the pride to these destinations. My first time I did not spend the day on the beach but this time around family rules...soooo My research has found that you can take a taxi bus ( just as you step off at port there will be tons) I found that the small shopping plaza we visited is directly across the street from the Grand Lucayan Resort ( Radison) I was informed that for $10 pp you can access their beach as well as use their amenities in the hotel ( Restrooms and restaurants) It may be a short day at the beach though as the Pride is docked only from 730 am till 130 so if a 2-3 hr beach day is sufficient this may be the ticket.

I haven’t checked it out yet but I was informed of a Junkanoo Beach... no idea where or what it is so Im researching...

I originally started out with park and stay. Then after reading the trip advisor reviews I reconsidered. We will stay one night at a hotel near airport then park at port. I'd rather pay the 100 for parking then worry for 7 days if my car was towed. And I like the idea if getting immediately into my car and driving home .

We too are cruising Jan 19,2014 from Baltimore. Can you please give advice as to where you statyed that parked the car and tramsported to and from the cruise. Thank you
