  1. How much extra is the club class mini suite from a regular mini suite?

    Jersey Shore,

We booked a mini suite on the Coral in Nov for Jan 2018. We are looking into moving to the club class because of the bump out on the Coral. So back in Nov, we were told extra 626.00 person to move to club class, which we were still on the fence at that time. Getting ready to pull the trigger, so we called yesterday and now the same move going from mini to club is $1111.00 person!!!!! Asked about suite and it would be $1400 to go from mini to suite. So we are just staying with our mini suite, just not worth it!!

Where are you at the jersey shore? We are in Cape May.

  2. It did not work. Tried to link to it.

If you are typing cruiseliferick in the search for the app, be sure to click on the "people" tab. The default is looking for broadcast titles.

Alternatively, search for Navigator Boarding and his broadcast from earlier should pop up.

    Dan.

Dan,Thanks!!I don't see a people tab? Do I have to set up an account to get people tag? Also tried Navigator boarding in search.

    Thanks Brent

  3. By 11 pm we decided to call it a night. After all, we had to get up early and get to the ship to be in the first groups to board so we could get a Vibe pass...

Back in the room, my son says, "hey there's a bug over near the luggage." Yup, a roach. I kill it but where there's one there's many. OK, luggage up high! I'm actually shocked at how well my wife took it. We got a decent night's sleep, the AC was loud, beds squeaky, but hey we are cruising tomorrow...

I woke up at about 7 am went out to get coffee and something to eat. If anyone wanted to make a ton of money, open a Dunkin Donuts on or near Ocean Ave. Nothing around. Ended up going to a 24 hour diner one block over. 4 coffees and 4 muffins = $35.00.

at About 8:30 a.m., we walked to Collins Ave and there is Suburban Taxi dropping people off. We hop right in and are on the way to the Escape! So far luck is in our favor!

    There she is!

Check in is a breeze. We are in Group 2! Looking good for Vibe....

Waiting in the terminal for our Group to be called.

At about 11:30 people start lining up. There were no announcements. So I said we need to get in line. People start boarding, no announcements. This is not good. A woman next to us is group 13. They let her on ahead of us. Very not good.

Nevertheless, we are on the ship in 10 minutes and head straight to guest services for out Vibe pass! Before we even get on line, an NCL employee asks us what we want and I say "Vibe." He almost giggles and says, "Vibe already sold out." Huh? in 10 minutes? 70 passes in 10 minutes? how could they even process that many in 10 minutes? Very, very disappointed.

We decide to let it go and make the best of it. Maybe we will enjoy the rest of what the ship has to offer. Still sucked.

The way to get Vibe passes does stink !! But my self and another guy that I meet in line where at the terminal and the first two people in line, in group 1. After we dinged our cards we had to run up the gangway and run over some of the wheel chair people and we were still #66 in line!

    The vibe was awesome !!!

  4. I was on the Escape the first week of December and purchased a Vibe pass. There was no $50 food credit offered, infact other then the fruit kabobs Ariel brought around once or twice a day there wasn't any food service.

Overall I found the $99 a good value. The service from Rudy the bartender was topnotch (knew my fav drink and my name by the second day), the venue was never crowded, hot tub and mist machine area were great.

We just off the Jan 2nd to Jan 9th Escape !! I 2nd the motion on Rudy, Areial and Mellisa They are the best.

Vibe 99.00 for the week !! No food!

  5. Escape Tidbits from 11/28 - what we encountered on our week onboard:

    * Food Republic should be open longer hrs for lunch 12 - 1:30 not long enough

    * Pinchos should be open for lunc

    * Margaritaville closes between 2:30 and 4

    * Doors slamming, hallway running, balcony chair moving heard 24/7 in cabins

    * Balcony is bigger than Getaway

    * Atrium is not a big enough venue for game shows, trivia etc. not enough seats, overhead noise

    * Dining room not open for lunch on port days

    * Ac in room, does not stay on at night, press cool button, comes on for about a minute goes back off. Prepare to be warm/hot in room after midnight. Get bed by balcony for more air on bed at night as vent is over closet

    * Drink taxes are charged while in port in Miami

Embarkation was a breeze. Arrived at port approx 9:30. 1st boarding group. On ship at 11 and purchased Vibe tickets. After lunch in Taste Dining Room, headed to room to unpack, as we carry on our luggage. We were sitting in Vibe by 1:30!

Vibe has about 80 loungers, extra towels are available and 8 umbrellas. Get there early if you want an umbrella, otherwise always chairs available. 1 server and 1 bartender. Service was good. They bring you cold face towels, fruit skewers and will spritz you with water throughout the day. Music played was mostly 70s.

    Muster was quick and easy.

Cagneys and Le Bistro were both tasty as usual. Food Republic and Pinchos are both a MUST - Excellent food!!! Manhattan Dining Room had good dinners the 2 nights we went, better than in the past. Service was good one night and lousy the other night.

Comedy show with Warren and Rodney very good, lots of laughs! make a

reservation as soon as you board as the shows do reach capacity early on.

Howl at the Moon, 3 rotating players, all good. We went 3 nights it was always crowded and had to wait for seats each time.

Million Dollar Quarter, talented group, lots of energy, good show.

Disembarkation, carry your luggage - easy walk off - we were off the ship at 7:25 and in a taxi right away. at the gate at Miami Airport by 8:05 for our 10am flight! Super quick and easy. Did same thing last year on Getaway cruise. Early flight is completely do-able if you do what we did and are ready to go first thing. Note: we did have TSA Precheck that saved us about 15-20 minutes of security line.

We had a good week onboard!

How much was the Vibe for the week?

    Thanks Brent

  6. Does anyone know where I can purchase a map of the Panama Canal which shows the different locks?

    Don

    Hi Don!

This is Brent and Beth from the Breakaway 1/5/14. We chatted a little on that roll call, but we never met up on that cruise. We did stop by your room one day but nobody was there. I see you are doing the Panama Canal! Beth and I are doing the same, but on Princess Jan 3rd 2015 to the 14th.

    Brent/Beth

  7. Just got off the Breakaway Jan 17th. We got the dining package and we think it was worth it. I asked for a second main course in Cagneys and they told me it was extra 10.00. But when we got the dining package they told me we could eat at any of them as many times we wanted, even the same night. So why the 10.00?

Service was the best at Cagneys, the others not so good.

  8. Glad you had a great time on the Coral. We will be onboard March 15th. Looking forward to reading your review, when you are up to it. Just a quick question-anything you suggest as a do not miss?

    Thanks! Debbie

    Debbdo,

We are thinking about doing this cruise on the coral Nov 20th 2014. We have done NCL the last cruise. Would love to hear more about your cruise when you have time.

    Thanks Brent
