  1. Hi,

After a hiatus of over 8 years, I am back and finally ready to enter the cruising world. (I got pregnant each time and had to cancel planned cruise trips....both times and that's what happens when you book way ahead of time ;)

Anyway, I will be traveling with 2 kids (ages 7 and 9 at time of intended travel) and I can't really tell the difference between the sV and C1 rooms on the Celebrity ships (Reflection, specifically). Is SV the same size as the C1 rooms (located in the aft of the ship) and is the difference the added touches of fresh flower, etc.... ?

Are the SV rooms previously known as the FV (family rooms)?

Since we are 4, we will like some space and a bigger balcony. I believe these were the FV rooms from before.

Does anyone know? Would appreciate any advice.

And by the way, is Celebrity (still) the recommended line in the Mediterranean for July? We are foodies and prefer to pay (alittle) more for better options. Then again, is Celebrity child-friendly in terms of activities and passengers? Won't be so fun to choose a cruiseline which is predominantly an adult cruise when we will come with kids. I do realize that we might have to choose and prioritize our 'wants', but hopefully it does not mean major sacrifices ;)

Last question (for now). Where should I make my reservation for the best deal in the market?

Apologies for the loaded email. And oh, how much I've missed cruisecritics!

    Vivian
