  1. I had this happen and had to call in to get it taken care of via customer service. I actually had to email her a copy of my invoice that showed it was paid in full before she would adjust my balance. I see you are in Australia and mention that your call center is closed over the weekend. ??? Not sure how that works but would try to get it taken care of asap.

It is a website that is notorious for issues and have read this has happened before ... and not just you or me. I hope all works out well without them canceling your sailing.

Thank you. I Will have to wait until they are back Monday, our phone number in Australia for Celebrity goes to the overseas call centre. Appreciate your advice.

  2. Hi all, we booked a great last-minute deal on a sailing in 2 weeks by calling Celebrity direct. I paid by credit card over the phone and have received an invoice showing a nil balance and no money outstanding Now however, my cruise planner is showing that I have a balance of $2000 owing! The celebrity call centre is now closed over the weekend. I have received all my cruise documents and Had my cabin assigned and have received my luggage tags. Has anyone had a similar experience and been able to resolve it? Obviously it is not long to go before we cruise and with the notorious problems with the website I am concerned that it may not rectified before we leave. Does anyone have any similar experience?

  3. We had a great tour with a company called One day in Provence - William Templar is the owner. We went to aix en provence, cassis and a gorgeous winery, cllos magdalene (?),and a quick tour of Marseille. This was a great tour and I really felt sad to leave as it was so beautiful and just felt like I could have stayed forever. We booked the tour through a roll call and 7 of us had a marvellous day.

Aix en Provence and Cassis are delightful.

  4. I will also add my favourites - Hotel Dauphine on Rue Dauphine in the 6th arrondissement is a fab boutique hotel. This is in a great neighbourhood. Steps from cafes and restaurants and the best pub - Pub St Germain in the Odean. A tiny little cobblestone alleyway with gorgeous pub and restaurants. And for a hidden gem I would recommend a walk down rue mouffetard for the markets and a really authentic French street.

  5. Hi! We're getting ready to take our first Celebrity Cruise on the Constellation in a few weeks. Have a few questions:

    • I've read differing posts about the WiFi in the cabins. How is it? We have elderly parents and need to keep in touch.
    • Spa - is there anywhere on line that shows available services and pricing? Or does anyone have this information?
    • What's the best time to arrive at the ship? We've cruised Princess and you have access to your cabin when you board.
    • Haven't read much about the entertainment, how is it? Any don't miss things?
    • Any other tips or advice is also welcomed. Looking forward to our cruise!

Thanks and Happy New Year to all!

    Hi

The wifi is very slow and very expensive.we found it best to connect while onshore in a cafe with free wifi. As there are so many port days, it is the best way to stay connected.

Many passengers we found experienced "lost minutes" under their wifi packages and the computer room was always busy with people complaining about it.

Having said that, you can still connect regularly via the ship wifi as long as you are patient.

  6. Yes to La Bouqueria, and to Girona--easy to get to by train.

I agree that La Boqueria is a must see. We had 2 days in Barcelona in May and loved this fabulous city. Easy to walk around, great food, cheap shopping and loads to see. The Barcelona Cathedral was beautiful. We were fortunate to be there while Mass was on - very moving. It is in the Barri Gothic area which is worth exploring. I think there is a dancing display in front of the Cathedral on a Sunsday at lunchtime. Not sure of the correct details but Google will tell you. Enjoy Barcelona.

  7. We're on the NCL Spirit May 2015 and are in Livorno from 8 am to 7 pm. I was wondering if anyone has made the trip to Cinque Terre from there? We were in Italy a few years ago and I took the train from Florence to Pisa and was going to continue to Cinque Terre but we were pooped so I'm pretty sure there are trains that will go there, just wondering about logistics and timing. Thanks!

We did a tour to Cinque Terre this year with shareashoreexcursioninitaly. We were picked up at the port in Livorno and driven to Portvenere where we caught the ferry to 4 of the towns. It was a great day and we arrived back at the ship with plenty of time to spare. I set up a group on shareashoreexcursioninitaly site and other people joined us via our roll call. All was super easy and everything worked out perfectly. Great day and amazing villages in the Cinque Terre.
