We just went to Blue Lagoon! It was awesome!! It is a nice ferry ride to the island. You can swim with the dolphins or sea lions or just go to the beach! The beach is beautiful and there is a great inflatable water park! There are hammocks in the shade and chairs in the sun. The lunch that is included in the package is great too!!! Would go back in a minute!!

Radio...maybe you can answer this question. It seems like in many pictures and also on the deck cam that the main pool is often closed. Is this true and if so, do you know why???

The short homecoming style dresses are perfect for Elegant Night!! My daughter wears hers and will be on the Splendor in 10 days!!
-
would also love to know the details on Easter activities....we are sailing on Friday 4/18 on the Splendor.
also...does anyone know where we will be on the first sea day after leaving NYC and heading towards Grand Turk??? Leaving NYC on Friday 4/18 and arriving in Grand Turk on Monday 4/21 at 9 am. I am curious what the weather will be on this first sea day.

Can't wait to read your review....heading on the Splendor on April 18th!!
-
Great news...thanks!! Cheap entertainment for the kids!!!
-
I am interested to hear all about Easter activities too! We will be on the Splendor for Easter and hoping for some fun activities for the kids!! Hope the Easter Bunny makes an appearance!!
-
On the Splendor, is the special line or stairway marked for FTTF? That is great news!!

You will have to book through NCL unless you tell a white lie to the booking people at Blue Lagoon.
Remember that through the cruise line, you do not have to take a taxi to the Paradise Island Ferry...you get picked up at the cruise terminal

Cant wait to see some pics!!!

When we took our daughter's friend, Carnival did not ask for any of the paperwork, but at debarkation, the customs agent did ask for all the paperwork...from her father and mother. He also called her over and asked her quite a few questions. I was glad we had the proper paperwork.
-
But remember...if something should happen and you have to fly home...you cannot with a birth certificate. I am not sure what you would have to do to get passports, but I bet it would cost a lot more.....

On the paper work we received, it said that the ferry returns at 11, 1, 2,4, and 6 pm.
The taxi is $4 per person and the ferry is included in the fee. I was also told by Blue Lagoon that the ferry will take you back to the cruise terminal at the end of the day.
Also, if anyone is doing the animal encounters...go to the Dolphin Encounters Facebook page and like it...there will be a 10% off coupon for the animal encounters only. Saved me $90 for our 5 swims...

I would do the beach day. It looks so beautiful there to spend the day!!
We had to book independently since Carnival no longer offers shore excursions to Blue Lagoon Island.
-
If you book it independently, the Aqua Bounce Park is included in the price and so is lunch. Not sure what is included if you book through the cruise line. It is $59 for adults for the Beach Day, which includes the lunch and aqua park.
-
I know that the Aqua Bounce Park, Big Boss Noodles, Inner Tubes and Float mats are included in the Beach Day. Kayaks, Water Trikes and other non-motorized water sports equipment can be rented.
We booked directly through Blue Lagoon since Carnival doesn't offer this excursion.
You can google for pictures...there are tons and you can also see some videos on You Tube!!
It looks great to me.

Anyone from this cruise have any info on the Seuss at Sea Breakfast??? Wondering if it is up and running yet and if so...how it was???

I agree....just made my decision and booked Blue Lagoon!!

I have heard there are inflatables in the water for the kids....but I can't seem to find any pictures on the website. Can anyone confirm this??

Does anyone think that the formal nights will change on an Easter Cruise. April 18th sailing of the Splendor leaves on Friday so Saturday would be formal night, but Sunday would be Easter.

Massachusetts starts vacation with the 18th of April (Good Friday) and runs the following week.

Looking for some help...Carnival is no longer offering Blue Lagoon Excursions. How hard is it to do on our own???
I know Scubagirl is local...looking for her input and anyone else that has done it on their own.
