We came off Independence yesterday after our first cruise, and had a very good time. Already thinking about doing the same ship again next year. Where this was for our 30th wedding anniversary, the next one will be a family affair. Loved Windjammer and MDR, we are British. We did have some nice Asain meals on board. Joff, the cruise director did some excellent shows, but one of the comedians was, lets say a bit below the belt. Enjoy your cruise.

Well we came off the IOS on last Saturday, and whilst we used the Diamond Lounge most days we did have a drink else where in the ship, and OH the hassle they told me that I'd already had my allocation (hadn't had ONE) this happened three times, and I almost had to convince them that I was telling the truth!! but got there in the end ! great cruise and fab staff!!!

NOTE you can't get the three drinks in the dining room..........

This is ALWAYS a touchy subject, in our early days of cruising it was a subject of fascination.....but oh boy what a world of difference in the prices that people pay !!!! (and we always seem to end up paying more !!!:mad:) But ah well if you enjoy it DO IT !!!!!!!

We are the same ship on the 14th of June, I see that there are 11 Junior Suites left, so am keeping my fingers crossed that the upgrade fairy "visit's" (yeah like that's going to happen)........:(

Have to say that we find there tends to be a fair amount of inconsistency when it come to the diamond plus coupon booklet. Even in the last year, i think we have done (four cruises) and “e booklets” on two and hard copy on the other two..........strange ! But agree the laundry is useful!!

Would be nice ! we have only ever received one upgrade, which was some years ago. We are about to do our 50th RCL cruise and still no call....ah well I live in hope and wait by the phone !! I hope you get lucky, and enjoy your cruise.

Wow thank you for the “nice” welcome! I will be very careful not to make any mistakes in the future....do I take It that it must be a pre requisite to be VERY serious about cruising ? ( and many thanks for the kind people out there who were good and understanding enough to defend my mishap)
