  1. Serious question... not trying to troll... but what would be the reason they wouldn't let the general customer have access to that? I only choose to book on my own instead of through a TA because I like to see my reservation and be able to have full control of it on-line and on the phone without waiting on someone else. personal preference of course.

    Curious to hear your thoughts.

Similar to how ticketing websites like TicketMaster release their best seats incrementally to avoid them all being sold out within the first few hours, I assume RC has a similar strategy to push sales of a mix of cabins so that only the less desirable aren’t left.

  2. This is also an added effort to continue to reduce the bookings that are place holders or backup cruises and not likely to be used. Frees up those cabins earlier but too us, not early enough.

To me this contradicts RC removing the option to buy an open booking while on the ship. On our last cruise we booked a cruise in 2019 that we have no intention of sailing on and will soon switch just to be able to get the FCC since we hadn’t decided on where we wanted to go.

  3. We usually cruise with Royal Caribbean but a member of our family is going on a Carnival cruise for her birthday and we’d like to surprise her with onboard credit. I went to Carnival’s website today and found Cruise Cash as well as Cruise Cash Bar. Can anyone explain the difference? It seems like Cruise Cash would cover any charges to the account (which I assume would cover drinks as well) so I’m confused why someone would pick Cruise Cash Bar instead. Thanks!

  4. We visited in Jan and took an excursion to Sapphire Beach. On the way there the driver mistakenly dropped us off at Lindquist Beach which was one of the most beautiful beaches I've visited. Unfortunately they realized the mistake and loaded us all back up and over to Sapphire Beach. Sapphire Beach was fine, a little crowded and not as nice but we were able to get lounge chairs. If visiting again I would head straight to Lindquist. :)

  5. I'm thinking of getting the 1 device Voom special for 11.99 per day on sale today. Does anyone know what it costs just for a few minutes on the computers onboard to print boarding passes? We fly Southwest and we usually sign on the day before to get in line (so to speak) for a boarding group?

Better to just pay for Southwest's Early Bird Check-in. That way you don't have to spend time on your cruise worrying about having to "get in line" for your flight ;)
