  1. I just bought the cutest lanyards with a double zippered tiny pouch included to keep your card and tip money in. They should be in tomorrow. I ordered them from etsy. Darling college girl that is making them. She also has wristlets. I'll post a photo and her name when they come in!

  2. We (husband, daughter, son in law, 7 year old granddaughter and 9 year old grand son) will be on the Paradise on August 6th. We are going straight to Calico Jack's. It is within sight of our house. We rented our house out for a year-the offer was too fabulous to pass up. The beach there is beautiful. Clean clean bathrooms and great drinks. Perfect place for kids!

  3. I live in GC most of the time. I have lived there and Little Cayman since 1979. My home is in Gov. Harbor, right across from Calico Jack's. I totally agree with snorkeling Eden Rock! Friends that come to visit love it there. I would bring my own snorkel and mask. Rent a bc and fins. It's a lovely clean place. Much better than shopping! Your wife could shop an hour then join you? Be sure and wave at the underwater mermaid for me! The turtles are hit and miss. You might get lucky.

    Have a great trip!

  4. Thank you so much for a fabulous review! My husband, daughter, great son in law and monkey granddaughter and angel- all boy grandson will be on the Paradise, same itinerary August 6. We surprised the kids. They have never cruised! My daughter will love reading this! Hugs!

  5. Captain Marvin's is a great tour company.i live one canal over from them. I don't have any problem going out with them when my Grandchildren come down. I have nothing to gain. They really don't know who I am. They are not flirty with my Grand daughters, courteous and watch for anyone in danger. My husband got into trouble last summer (cancer survivor) and they were in the water before I realized what was going on. Yes I trust them!

  6. I think you might mean Cemetary Reef? It is about miles, walking on the beach to Calico Jack's. At Jack's the lounges are free.drinks are great and bathrooms and showers are clean. The pan fried Cayman Style Fish with Coconut Rice And peas are delicious. I snorkel with my small Grandchildren off Jack's. I put on their vests and pull them o. A clear heavy duty raft. It is very much a local family place.

  7. Hi, I would definitely recommend Kirk's! It is larger, clean and has a nice little deli area. Foster's is fine, but I shop at Kirk's most of the time. Larger selection. You will go right by my house. I am across from the Public Beach. I hope you have a wonderful time! Kiss the sting rays for me!

  8. I don't know if the cruise ship will do that for you anymore. However,

I live on Grand Cayman and would be happy to help. There is a Subway to your left as you get off the dock, across the street. If you would like a nicer, island style lunch to go, with no hassle, I would ask your driver to stop by Kirk's Market. It is probably on the way to your sailboat. You can not buy beer or wine there, but there are plenty of package stores along the street. Have a great time!

  9. I totally agree that something needs to be done to over haul their contact with the public. They need to realize what a black eye this is giving them. I tried for 2 weeks to get them. The last time I called them was on my own dime. I waited an hour and a half then gave up. I was calling from the Cayman Islands!!!! I was able to finally get through after all this by calling the "call me back at a certain time" number. I am sailing on the 6th of March on Century. I have never sailed on Celebrity. I am going with a good attitude. Celebrity is losing customers -

    Big Time!

  10. Roohound, sorry you are having so much trouble getting through to Celebrity. I was so very frustrated myself! I stayed on hold once for 1 hour 27 minutes, from the Cayman Islands where I live. I tried for 2 weeks to get through. Nothing worked. I had good luck calling the "call me back at this time feature". They put me right through. I told the operator how shocked I was to talk to a human being. I am not a picky person, and hopefully would never be rude, but Celebrity needs to fix this problem. I would suggest calling the "call me back" again. This was the only thing that worked for me. Good luck to you.

  11. I changed from the classic to the premium plan yesterday. It was 11.50 per day for the upgrade. I like fizzy water and the fact that I won't have to stop and figure if something is on my list. A couple of weeks ago I had a couple of vodka and tonics that were made with well liquor and had a hangover that was a bugger! I am only having liquor that I know now! Hahaha!

  12. Hi happy gran! I hope this finds you well today. I am from a big family of breast cancer survivors, so I understand a little of what you have gone through. This line of bras, ( Sassybax) has a lot of different options. You might just want to look into some of the styles. They are well made, soft and have a wide back. You step into them. They come in wired or not. I didn't think they would be supportive enough but they are fabulous! Good luck and have a great next trip!

  13. I just have to add myself to the list of disgruntled customers. I tried every way in the world to get through, for 2 weeks, no luck. I stayed on the phone for 1 1/2 hours-and-I live in Grand Cayman! I even tried the Captains Club, no luck. Finally I saw something about sending them a message to call you. You set the time on the same day. I couldn't believe it when they called! I was passed off two more times, but got the right person. When the agent saw that I was in Grand Cayman, she asked me how my weather was. I then asked her where she was and did she have snow? She said she was in Arkansas and no snow, beautiful weather. Celebrity needs to address this problem pronto!
