It moves to new booking if insurance is through NCL if cruise is more they will add additional insurance fee, outside vendor guess you need to call, cancel and rebook new insurance
Thanks you so much!:D
-
My travel agent did it for us and it took about 2 days!
-
What happens to your insurance when you change your booking?
Does the insurance just move to the new booking or do you lose the insurance? Thanks!

Does anyone know if Margaritaville is free for Haven guests on the first day (lunch)?

We tendered in Cannes (on NCL) not Royal, and were in one of the first tenders. We were in a suite, so we had priority. I would suggest that you do whatever you can to get off the ship as fast as possible, so as to not miss a minute of the fabulous French Riviera!
We had a private day tour planned with Ingrid of Kultours Private Tours.
Even though this was our third trip to the French Riviera, it might as well have been our first! We had the pleasure and good fortune to be in the skilled care of one of the best private tours we have ever been on. Ingrid, our witty, genuine, knowledgeable, and flexible tour guide crafted an itinerary that has our entire family repeatedly singing its praises. She was not only an expert driver, but she had an immediate intuition of what we would like based on our brief conversation at the beginning of the day.
We decided on a few changes after our first stop in Antibes, a lovely open air market, where we gathered a few items for the most surprisingly, picturesque picnic lunch we have ever had! Who needs a restaurant when you can dine on top of the world!
Ingrid recalculated the distance and time, so as to maximize our day. We were lucky enough to visit Monaco, Monte Carlo, Eze, St Paul de Vence, La Turbie and drive the Grand Prix Circuit, finishing in Cannes with plenty of time to shop and board our ship for our next destination.
If you are looking for a safe, intimate, fun day on the Riviera, that will have you cherishing the memories for years to come, we highly recommend you go with Ingrid and Kultours!

You do not need to reserve - You can either buy tickets at the pier /Ticket office) or on-line at http://www.alilaguna.it/en/ - here you can also find time tables and map.
For the Hilton Molino Stucky on Giudecca you have four options from Marco Polo Venice airport (VCE)-
1. Take bus nb. 5 to Venice Bus Station (Piazzale Roma) and from here two options - take ACTV public waterbus nb. 2 or 4.1 direction Giudecca-San Marco and get off at bus stop Palanga located on Giudecca. You can also take a water taxi from - cost approximately €20 - this will take about 1 hour
2. Take Alilaguna Waters bus form Marco Polo Airport to Giudecca (€15) - last stop before airport - bus stop Stucky.
3. The most expensive options are either a water taxi from Marco Polo to Stucky or
4. alternatively a taxi from Marco Polo to Piazzale Roma and then ACTV/waters taxi to Giudecca.
Once at your hotel you can take shuttle boat or water bus to St. Marc's Square.'
From your hotel to the cruise port the Alilaguna water bus (€8 pp) or a water taxi (€ 20)
Thank you so much...you are very helpful!:)

You can also take the Alilaguna waters bus from cruise terminal to Marco Polo Airport

Hallam,
That looks like a great option! Do you know if we can reserve this in advance or do you just have to wait in line? Flight is at 1:25 pm.
Also, can you give us the best option when we arrive at Marco Polo Airport to go to the Hilton Molino Stucky on Giudecca (I believe?)?
Thanks for your help and expertise!

Thanks for the review! It was very well done! :)
We leave on Jade in October and are really looking forward to it! We have also booked a private tour ( alas, not with Mr Theo) on Olympia and also on Santorini....not sure yet about Corfu or Mykonos yet??
We also have been on the Gem and did also enjoy "The Great Outdoors"! Not many people know it is there??
Thanks again for you in depth review!:D

11 days to go.....woohooo!!!!!!!
-
OSheehan's is the 24 hour restaurant on most ships, but it seems even their menu is more limited late, late night/early morning. Usually a part of the buffet (e.g., Great Outdoors) is open until 10:30 or 11:00 with snacks, desserts and soft serve. You can also get something a little earlier and take it back to your room for later. You will not go hungry!
Last time on the Breakaway and on the Getaway....they were NOT allowing any food to be taken out of the buffet to go back to your room! They were, in fact, strictly enforcing this! :(
-
This happened to us also on the Getaway....it really was very cool....we felt quit important!! (which we really are btw) lol;)
-
Well it seems to work for the restaurants, which come up as zero, but I thought that Cirque Dreams was free on the first night if you had the UDP. However it still shows the full charge?
Just booked Cirque on first night and it came up no fee

Just did a lap of the Waterfront on the Breakaway using a GPS walking app. It comes in at 430 yards. So 4 laps would be a fraction under a mile. (1 mile = 1760 yards) 4 laps of the Waterfront is 1720 yards.
I hope someone finds this useful as the walking track up the top is a bit congested usually.
Hi,
We are going to be in a aft facing penthouse suite in 2 weeks.....any suggestions/pointers???
Thanks!

They told us on our cruise in August that she would go into drydock in late February-early March 2015!
-
Just sailed the Star (for the second time-first time to Alaska) in August to the Baltic! It was a fabulous cruise with a terrific itinerary!! You will love it!!
With that said, the Star is getting a little bit tired:(...The staff was great....the food was good, but you will be on her after the drydock so hopefully most of the ships issues will have been addressed!
I have to agree totally with 2 previous posters...the buffet was really not better than a school cafeteria......we just did not eat there at all and it was fine...the atmosphere is even a little depressing...hopefully they will spruce it up a bit:confused:
The MDR was great for breakfast and even room service on a port day...have fun!!:)

We did this tour option last July on the Gem with my 2 year old grandson, daughter and son-in law and husband.
It was a VERY VERY expensive day for about a total of about 5 hours in the park!!! I think it was over $700!!,
.......BUT....it was worth every $$$ when I saw my grandsons face when he met Mickey Mouse for the first time! PRICELESS!!:D
You will probably not get into the park before 2 pm (disembark ship, 1 hour drive, arrive transportation center, pick up monorail, p/u stroller??) Don't forget you also have to eat during those 5 hours, so really not a lot of time to wait on lines and go on rides.....try to plan ahead as much as possible!!:)
Have fun! It is magical!
-
That was awesome....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!:D
-
She is going into dry dock in March and boy does she need it!!!
-
We will be taveling on the Breakaway in the Haven in October. Just received special luggage tags and a letter saying to call for any special requests or amenities. :)
Not sure what type of amenities are available....we are open to any suggestions or ideas??
Thanks!
-
There are secret aft decks on the Breakaway!:D
-
Just got off the Star 2 weeks ago and the food was good. We ate in the MDR half of the cruise and the specialties the other half. We did not go to the buffet at all.
We were on the Star 3 years ago in Alaska and I think the food has gotten a little better. We did find that some of the dishes that we had in the specialty restaurants, found their way onto the MDR menu at some point during the 9 days!!! (So, why go and pay for them? hmmm)
The only thing that wee had that was absolutely tasteless was the onion soup, both in the MDR and in lLe Bistro!! It was basically brown water! Other than that, the food was average to very good!

If you are booked in a Haven Suite and your friend is not, can you invite them to join you by the Haven pool and the Haven restaurant?
-
We will be in Copenhagen for a day and a half. Can you reccommend a lunch place and also a specific place in Tivoli for dinner?
Also any ideas for Talinn, Helsinki and Stockholm since we will be on our own?
Berlin and SPB we will be on tours.
Thanks for any and all help!
Linda:)
