  1. Can anyone explain the difference between the 3 dolphin excursions in the park? They are 3 different prices, I saw the $159 was all inclusive, does the other two not include snorkeling or anything? Also, can you swim with manatees with the all inclusive one?

  2. With feet so big (14), you'd think I wouldn't need fins, but I do. Preparing for a cruise with snorkel excursions in a couple of months and a trip to Hawaii next summer. I've been snorkeling on a few cruise excursions with badly fitting fins before - it hurt and caused blisters. I don't need expensive equipment, just some fins that will fit comfortably on big feet. I know they are out there. However, most brands I've seen shopping online only go up to 12 or 13 at the most - had the same experience at a local diver's store. Anyone out there who also has very large male feet with comfortable but inexpensive fins with info to share? Thanks.

I just got these, they seem to work but have not tried in the water, I wear a sz 14-15

Also got Tilos 3x booty off amazon, don't get promate Lagos, not same quality and XXL. Didn't fit me.....

  3. my husband wears a size 15 shoe. we went to a dive shop and they got him free dive fins with the adjustable heel strap. he just has to wear the little booties with them, which are nice because he also can use them as water shoes.

Where did he get free fins? Did they just let him use them or did they give them to him?

  4. Planning on getting a bottle of the limitada reserva from bacardi factory? What's some other good local rums that will be good a cheap to bring back?

How much is the BLR at bacardi, I read somewhere it comes with two nice glasses, can anyone confirm?

Going to STT also, should I get anything there vs SJ?

  5. We just got back from the Breeze on Dec 15. The trip to Sapphire was a highlight. We took our own gear but they have it at the beach to rent.

The coral is right at the beach. The only contention is that you must stay 8 feet to the outside edge of the entire reef. They contend that you cannot swim over the top of the coral but only on the outside. While there is still some action to see when viewing like this, it does in fact cause you to miss a ton of the action.

I am a scuba diver and mindful of protecting the coral. I did not know of the rule when I got there so I swam over the top where the depth allowed protection for the coral but the third time out a security guard showed up on the beach and started yelling violently at me to get off the coral. I responded that I was not anywhere near the touching the coral and he insisted he would throw me out if I did not move 8 feet away from the edge of the coral. I happily obliged, walked over and shook his hand and enjoyed the rest of the time at a distance from the coral as requested.

Still well worth the trip and the sea life was excellent. (I am from South Florida and am use to great fish life but this really was the best close beach snorkeling I have seen)

One final tip... We took the local bus for $2 each way instead of the $20 taxis from the pier. If you want to give it a shot, head left from the boats until you hit Wendy's Fast Food Restaurant. Cross the street towards the uphill climb and wait in front of the gas station facing the grocery store. Don't forget the cars are on the opposite side from the U.S. Just wave down the open air safari ride and confirm it is $2 to Sapphire. The ride is crazy but a lot of fun hanging with the locals. I did this with my wife, mother and my 4 boys (6yr to 15yrs.)

Oh ya, Also hit the food truck at the top of the hill that you walk from... Off the Grill I think is the name.

Enjoy your day at the beach!

How far is that from the ccl dock? (To catch bus)
