A credit for what, are you serious??:rolleyes:
If they cut a 3 stop cruise down to 2 then darn right I'd be expecting a credit too. Now, if they were to swap that stop out for another in the interest of safety for the passengers that would be a different story.

Does anyone remember how early you were able to book specialty restaurants online before cruising?
I'm 78 days away and still not an option?

For our May 4 Navigator cruise the specialty restaurants opened up in the 49 day area give or take a day or two.

I use these for the cruise luggage tags and they work very well:

Thanks for this! Just ordered. :D

Looks like it may be raining?
-
.....that way I don't have to worry about kissing private excursions, etc.
Haha, gotta love spell check.

That one has me puzzled as well. I did this cruise two weeks ago and there was no time change. Besides our clocks went forward this weekend, so that would mean that you are now two hours behind us, but all the ports are on CST? Am I missing something?
Great review BTW. :)
Without researching I'm guessing one of the ports does not observe DST and is therefore now an hour behind compared to when you sailed?
-
You purchase it online.
Before or during the cruise? Just curious.
-
IDK why they didn't put a freestyle coke machine while in dry dock, seemed obvious.
Agreed. I too was surprised it didn't happen then.

Yes, beer is included on Coco Cay if you have the Select, Premium, or Ultimate packages.
Thanks Bob!
-
All of the drink packages work on Coco Cay and Labadee....both stops are just "extensions" of the ship!!
Just to be clear, if you have the premium or ultimate is there beer and such included too?

Jumping on to hear your thoughts on your cruise since we are on NOS in just a couple months or so. Have fun and enjoy your cruise!

I feel your guys' pain. Created an account on CCL website a little bit ago and was surprised that I was able to bring up our only cruise with them from 2000 without a problem. Got instant credit for that cruise and website seems bulletproof so far. Have to admit that it is tempting to defect for a cruise or two. Surfing their choices now.

Been trying to book a cruise for November and keep getting "Sorry, the information you requested is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." Had issues with C&A account last week. Before that, issues with accessing current reservation that magically fixed itself after a couple days. You would think that an operation as large as RCI's would have a more robust website. I despise being on hold and at the mercy of "customer service" so functional websites appeal to me. The sad part for RCI is that it is tempting to try another line with a more reliable website.
Sorry, had to vent.

I got that too. Promptly snagged the MP4 they're using for that screen so I can use it for a desktop background.
Haha Darkwolfe. Ok, I snagged the MP4 too - it even has the sound. How do I make it my background? I'll google it too.

Website seems to be completely down at the moment. No matter what section you try to access, including the main homepage it says:
OOOPS...LOOKS LIKE ROYALCARIBBEAN.COM IS ON VACATION
Working fine for me. Just kidding!
You would think that they would have a more robust and reliable site this day and age.
-
I think you need to be closer to your sail date - like within 60 days. Not 100% though.
-
Rebooted laptop = works fine now. Can't believe it took me that long to think of that. Doh!
-
Interestingly if I vpn to my pc at work the site works fine. Won't work here at home on my laptop though whether I use ie or firefox. Wife's laptop works here at home fine though. Weird. Hopefully it will fix itself.

Cindy - you have SOOOO gone above and beyond the call of duty on this review. Photos, compasses and menus have been outstanding. This will be the best advanced preparation that I've EVER had for a cruise. Thanks! :)
Yes, very much agree with this. Problem is it has me so excited and wishing we didn't have to wait 2.5 more months until our turn!
Thank you Cindy for the great thread and all the time you have spent on it!

I'm getting this whenever I click on any "BOOK NOW" button:
"The information you requested is temporarily unavailable. If you are trying to make a reservation, you can contact a Certified Vacation Planner at (866) 562-7625 or click here here for our International contact information."
So, I guess it's down for me too.

Please note that I went back & corrected myself.... Houston to Galveston is 50 miles. But can easily take an hour or more in "rush hour" traffic.
I did catch that and thank you. We are actually staying in a town called Seabrook which looks to be closer yet. Since we will be able to get an early start Sunday I think we should be set. Let me know if you think otherwise and we'll regroup.
-
Houston is 75 miles from Galveston. Freeway ALL the way. That said.... if you're traveling from Houston during "rush hour" traffic, you will experience a longer travel time. It CAN be a bear!
Some hotels in Galveston offer free cruise parking & shuttles to & from the terminal... just FYI.
Thanks so much for the tips Lynn. We are liking the freedom we will have with our own car being there and hopefully being able to just go across the street and be on our way home after disembarking. It's a lot of work researching and selecting what "feels" like the best options however fun at the same time. Strange - lol.
Thanks again!

My dh & I are sailing the May 4th sailing, D2 category, oversized balcony $658 pp. It is a 6 day cruise. Sailing before schools release so should not have a lot
of kiddos running around…… We like sailing out of Galveston as we can drive to port and not have to pay airfare. We are from KCMO….
Wow krazy we are on the same cruise and driving down from KC area too!
In your experience, how long a drive to southern part of Houston? We are staying in a hotel there Saturday night after the drive and parking across the street from the port in a parking place called Galveston Park N Cruise on Sunday. See any problems with that plan? Appreciate your experience!
Hope to see you on the cruise!

My wife is crazy for Love Connections but it was difficult finding someone who would make one on EOS last week. Finally found David at the Solarium bar who hooked her up. She was very happy!
