Love your review. I'll be boarding the Dream in about 3 weeks, Nov. 9. I liked your OCD binder. I make one for every trip. I take all my confirmation emails, registrations, flight data etc. I'm just as bad.
Regarding the movies you missed, my wife and I were on the Liberty about a year and a half ago and the movies were one of my favorite parts. So I'm looking forward to the movies at night under the stars and lounging on deck. Reminds me of drive-ins.

Thanks for the review. I'll be on there Nov 9th.

I like your blog set up. Enjoying the review. I'm looking forward to my trip on the Dream in November and looking forward to the rest of your review.

I did this in April last year. I had FTTF and had Carnival's transfer to the Airport and was at Miami Airport by probably 10. We were there pretty early for our 1:30 flight.

Loving your review. Heading out on the Dream on Nov 9 with my wife and 4 year old.
Did your kids go to Camp Carnival at all and if so, how was that?
35 miles south of St Louis? Like Fenton or High Ridge, or Festus or Arnold? I was born in St. Louis County but grew up west of there in Warren County.

We are on the same cruise. I've been to NOLA quite a few times but never cruised out of NOLA. We are staying at the Place D'Armes for 4 nights before the cruise. The French Quarter is fun. Lots of museums, art galleries, tours, booze etc. The port isn't far from the French Quarter. Parking there is expensive. I think taxi from the airport to the Quarter is $34 for two people.

Re: A Disney cruise full of kids. We went on the Liberty last April and we didn't realize it was spring break. I don't recall the exact figure the cruise director told us, but about 1 off every 3 cruisers were kids. They were everywhere. Something like a thousand of them. And they were annoying and rowdy.
Loving the review. We're cruising the Dream out of NOLA in November.

I got it on the Liberty last April and bought it for the Dream this November. Our only real perk on the Liberty was early embarkation and debarkation. On the day we left, we were with 3 other couples. We embarked, dropped off our stuff in the room and were texting pics of ourselves having a drink in the still empty Serenity area while our friends were not even checked in yet. After that, they all swore they were getting it next time. For $50, I liked it for the ease of just getting on and getting my vacation going.

I emailed Carnival about this issue maybe a month ago as my boy will be 4.5 when we cruise. Here was their response:
"On most excursions children will require to pay for participating in an excursion however on the Playa Mia Beach Break Deluxe at Cozumel Mexico it is an exception for children 5 years old and younger can go at no cost with a paying adult. Since it states a 5 year old can go at no charge, you don't need to purchase a ticket online for [your son]. We only ask to advise our Shore Excursion Desk on board that you are taking your four year old on this excursion. So they are aware."

Great report. We're on the Dream in November.

On the Liberty last spring, our whole party of 4 couples would hang out at this bar at least once a day and everything was good. First time trying the Moscow Mule and it sure is good.

I booked 11272 in November and I read on a post somewhere that during the day you can hear people using the water slides but as they're closed at night, it isn't bad at night. I hope this is true anyway. I'll find out for sure in November.

I'm doing on the Dream with my boy in November who will be 4.5 at the time. Could you give your opinions of Camp Carnival when you get around to it? Wife and I have cruised before and our son stayed with grandma but we're nervous taking him.

I've been on two cruises and maybe I missed this, but how do you get a check in time?
