  1. Hello in here!

We are going on our fourth cruise but it´s the first time with P & O. We would love to hear some good things about P & O Oceana

    Best Regards Krydstosser

    (From Denmark)

Dont worry about it. P & O is a garantee. You forgot to write your itinerary, anyway.

    Enjoy your cruise

  2. We are off on Friday on our 1st cruise

    So excited

I'm sure we have taken far to much luggage,1 large and 2 medium cases

We have an outside cabin on A deck on Oriana my question is,what is the storage space like?

    PS

Also now have 2 holdalls !!!!!!!

    Thank you all in advance

Have a lot of fun in your first cruise. Dont worry for your luggage. Your will have space enought to keep it.

  3. Hi we are booking a cruise for next Jan on Azura and looking at GC grade cabins on C deck my oh has now had a look at B deck same grade but the ones at the back of the ship not sure about those ,my question would be has anyone used those cabins and are they in a decent spot ? he never bothers looking at cabins now i dont know which one to go for they are same price so thats not an issue :)

No doubts. C deck must be your choice. The balconies are impresive. You will enjoy your cruise for sure.

  4. We've been thinking about taking a Caribbean cruise on board Azura but some of the reviews have put us off. Does anyone have some positive things to say about this ship?

We did the Caribbean on Ventura 3 years ago and enjoyed it but again there are so many poor reviews on it now that we don't think we'd travel on her again.

Is it just these ships or P & O in general who have gone downhill?

Having been on Celebrity recently for a special occasion we found them far superior to P & O, however not keen on flying into a US port to board for their Caribbean itineraries.

I was in the Azura last year and enjoyed it a lot.

    My schedule was:

Cruise Schedule: Southampton, England (April 19) Cadiz, Spain (April 22 morning-early evening), Barcelona, Spain (April 24 morning-afternoon), Cannes, France (April 25 early morning, early evening), Civitavecchia (Rome ), Italy (April 26 early morning, early evening), Ajaccio, Corsica (April 27 morning-afternoon), Gibraltar, UK (April 29 early morning-early afternoon), La Coruna, Spain (01 May morning-afternoon), Southampton , England (03 May)

All locations are beautiful. In almost all cities (Barcelona, Cannes, La Coruna ...) you can enjoy Panoramic tours made by local agencies, a cheap way to visit important sites in the town. In smaller cities, you can enjoy a wonderful ride .... One way or another you can enjoy your cruise the best way ....

  5. Hola :)

We have been on about 25 cruises with Celebrity and it is our favorite cruise line. We have spent 28 nights on the Eclipse, including two weeks last month, and it was wonderful.

Many of the crew and staff will speak Spanish, and the daily newspaper is available in Spanish. I am sure you will be fine in that regard.

    Happy Sails to You

    OOOEEE :D:D Bob and Phyl

I am checking several cruises before I choose. But I keep this good review in my mind. Thank you so much

  6. Eclipse is a beautiful ship and it is quite large. The cabins are great and regardless of what some say on these boards, they do have plenty of storage space. Also, Perry Grant is a great entertainer and if you are not a fan, that is your choice but it doesn't give you the right to say unkind things about him or any other entertainer. The overflow attendance at his shows does not support your remarks. If you don't like something or someone, keep it to yourself because it is an individual choice and your opinion doesn't matter except that it is hurtful to the one being criticized. Entertainment is an individual preference and that's how it should be. Even though you don't like something or someone, your fellow cruiser might not share your feelings, so let them judge for themselves. I think this poster will have a wonderful time on the Eclipse if it is their ship of choice.

I completely agree with you. Thaks a lot for your opinion.

  7. There are lots of mistakes, Azura for March is still wrong. 12th March Dominica..has Azura got the Pier?...no Jewel of the Seas has it and Wind Surf is also in town.

Hello. Yes, you are right. All details are not correct. Thank you

  8. Can anyone who has been on a recent Caribbean cruise on Azura tell me what time they are leaving the ports this year. My documentation says 'early evening' everywhere which is anywhen from 6PM. I have called P&O and they confirm 6PM but last year when I went it was typically 5PM.

My reason for asking is that I am trying to book a couple of independent tours that will be tight for time if the ship leaves at 5PM.

    Thanks

    Hello.

Probably you can check it in www.cruisetimetable.com

    Greetings

  9. Morning Alison.Do come along and meet folks, nothing wrong with being tee-total,i myself wont be drinking alcohol at that time.Im a little nervous myself.

    Hi everyone.

Please when you come back, if you dont mind, write a review of your experience. We will apreciate that. We are thinking about booking a cruise for next summer.

  10. Yes, xacoberrr, the Eclipse is part of the Celebrity fleet. She is an S class ship which means she is one of the new, large, modern ships.

They are very nice ships. The passengers age range is between 40 and 70, and there is a preference for quiet elegance over wild parties.

Although there is a children's club, Celebrity is not a cruise line that caters to families. There is a main dining room which serves good food as does the buffet, the food in both of these places is covered by your fare. There are also specialty restaurants that you pay to dine in. Alcahol is not included in the fare.

All cabins are well apointed and comfortable.

I am taking a cruise on her in March, but I have been on a couple of her sister ships and have really enjoyed them

I see you are in Spain. Are you looking at taking a cruise on her?

If you could be more specific on what you want to know we could answer your questions better.

    Cheers, h.

Thanks a lot. I am getting information of several cruises I like to have the best choice.

  11. It depends where you are going and what you want to do. I typically do a mix of both depending on any group I can arrange through the roll call here or with an independent company on shore by myself. Rarely RCCL offers tours not available independently but it does happen. Best thing is to research your ports of call and decide what you want to do first then look into what there is provided.

Thank you so much. Very helpful information.

  12. Has anyone any experience of New Year celebrations on Oceana - thinking of the 4 day cruise that takes in New Year. Many thanks for any help

My brother in law was last year and he enjoyed it a lot. Good way to live New Year celebrations.

  13. Good evening everyone, I am looking at this cruise for my *0th birthday. I've never been to any of the POC or sailed on Oceana. I'm not particularly fussed which ship I sail on, they are all beautiful in their own ways but I was wondering about the weather in that area at that time of year,,especially the dreaded BOB. I'm fairly ok with a bit of chop but my poor husband suffers terribly and it would definately spoil it for him if it was continually rough. I know there's no guarantees anywhere and I know it's spring and Spain at least will be pleasant! Has anybody done this itinerary or similar, or cruised in this general area around Aprilish?? Any info and anecdotes would be much appreciated:)

I was in the Azura last year and enjoyed it a lot.

    My schedule was:

Cruise Schedule: Southampton, England (April 19) Cadiz, Spain (April 22 morning-early evening), Barcelona, Spain (April 24 morning-afternoon), Cannes, France (April 25 early morning, early evening), Civitavecchia (Rome ), Italy (April 26 early morning, early evening), Ajaccio, Corsica (April 27 morning-afternoon), Gibraltar, UK (April 29 early morning-early afternoon), La Coruna, Spain (01 May morning-afternoon), Southampton , England (03 May)

  14. Too many sea days for me! The ship is great if you like AIDA (only buffet, but great food, no formal night, no room-service, great spa) You should speak German because everything is in German.

Thanks a lot for your help. My german is not so good but I will think about it.

  15. Hi,,

I need help we can not decide!!!!

Me ,my husband and our four year old daughter are planning to have our first cruise vacation this February, and love to go to the western caribbean itinery but we can not decide which ship to choose? Freedom or oasis ?our travel agent has recommended us the Oasis but we love to go to Caymen Islands. Is it worth it to sacrifice Grand Caymen for Oasis?

We are in our mid thirties we enjoy nice blue waters and off ship excursions and good food and some entertainment .

Your feedback means a great deal to us!

Any of them are awesome. I promise you will not forget.
