  1. Roscoe, although we aren’t in the old cruise, I have had a look at your blog as we have a friend on board doing the whole trip. We’ve heard so little since she left - must be having a great time and I thought I could get a flavour of the trip from your blog. However I couldn’t help but notice the pictures of the fantastic coloured shoes in your blog. I think they were in San Francisco. If so, please would you let me know where? We will be cruising from San Francisco on Queen Elizabeth at the beginning of July and would love to find the shop. I’ve looked at around shoe shop 40 websites in San Francisco so far and nothing to compare with those in the photos on your blog. Many thanks.

  2. Hi There!

We were on Arcadia in 2014 for the Singapore to Dubai leg of the world cruise. There were no LGBT meetings of any sort. In fact, other than two members of the crew that we suspected (a member of the band and the dance instructor), there was no sign of any "LGBT Family" whatsoever. We recently sailed on QM2 from Cape Town to Southampton, again as part of a world cruise. There was a FOD meeting every day at 5.00pm and there were normally 12 -14 there every day (not always the same people). It was a mix of Brits, Americans, Australians and South Africans. There were plenty of others on board, but the Germans in particular avoided these get togethers. On our deck, two of the four cabins next to ours were occupied by gay male couples. We had a great trip and have now booked two separate transatlantic trips on QM2 for next year.

  3. Arcadia J401 (Singapore to Dubai segment of 2014 world cruise)

We are two guys from Jersey, who are new boys to cruising! Are there any members of "Family" out there who will be on Arcadia at that time (or do you know anyone who may be on board), with whom we could meet up?

    Regards
