  1. You can order bon voyage, a litre of rum or vodka is 50 to 75 Dollars depenting on brand. and its right in your room. It may be a cheaper alternative. Im not sure how much you can order.

You order right from the carnival web site before u go and its in your room when you get on board.

    Just a thought.

  2. There is a thread on page 5 as of now. Its call "carnival comparison spreed sheet" It will let you compare ship at a glance. Someone took some time and make it. Tell which have water parks or just pools.

May be of help to you.

  3. Im on conquest sunday and got the same email but it said because of new procedures for people coming from (now i forget) Roatan maybe. They have to go through more detailed customs. They expect it to take longer then normal to disembark.

I booked my hotel with carnival and the transfer as well. We leave the hotel at 12:00. By the way it was cheaper then anything i could find. The hotel is EB

looks awesome.Actually my flight was throught carnival as well. Flight, hotel and transfer was cheaper then a flight i could purchase.

Each to there own but id sooner stay at the hotel then lug a carry on for hours.

Ill sit at the hotel pool and enjoy a drink.

  4. Imagine all the gifts a steward would get. Then think about how much room he has to live in. Cash stores easy. If he wants candy he can buy it if he has cash. Oh and if its something else he wants to buy. Guess what cash again.

Maybe he needs a drink after a long day. What im trying to say is that with money he can buy what he wants and not some trinket you thought would be nice that he has to store it untill he gets off the boat.

P.S And when i say he i actually mean he or she.

  5. Guess i hit a sore spot with the smokers. Why would i want to inhale vapor from someone else. I chose to eat what i want. That my choice. However not once have i been ask if i minded if they used a ecig. They take it for granted that its ok.

Therefore i have no choice if i breath nicotine or not. Its to late after they make vapor with it. And yes i do move on, but why should I have to.

    This is easily controllable.

  6. Each to there own, but why should i have to breath it if i dont want to.

In the smoking area is great and if i want to breath i will go there.

However where do i go if i dont want to breath it ? Thats why it is regulated in some states and more to follow.

I agree its better then cigs but still has nicotine vapors.

I have nothing aqainst smoking them or real cigs. I just want a place where i dont have to be near it. Easiest way is to put them in the smoking area.

Where you get to smoke your vapor(nicotine), i get clean vapor free and smoke free air to breath.

  7. People standing near someone using an e-cigarette will be exposed to nicotine, but not to other chemicals found in tobacco cigarette smoke, according to a new study.

E-cigarettes, or electronic cigarettes, create a nicotine-rich vapor that can be inhaled, or 'vaped.'

Researchers and regulators have questioned whether e-cigarettes are a smoking cessation aid or may lure more young people toward smoking, as well as what effects they have on health.

"There is ongoing public debate whether e-cigarettes should be allowed or prohibited in public spaces," study co-author Maciej Goniewicz told Reuters Health in an email.

Goniewicz is a cancer researcher in the Department of Health Behavior at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York.

"E-cigarettes contain variable amounts of nicotine and some traces of toxicants. But very little is known to what extent non-users can be exposed to nicotine and other chemicals in situations when they are present in the same room with users of e-cigarettes," Goniewicz said.

He and his colleagues conducted two studies of secondhand exposure to e-cigarette vapors in a laboratory. Their results were published in Nicotine and Tobacco Research.

In the first study, the researchers used an electronic smoking machine to generate vapor in an enclosed space. They measured the amount of nicotine as well as carbon monoxide and other potentially harmful gases and particles in the chamber.

The second study included five men who regularly smoked both tobacco cigarettes and e-cigarettes. Each man entered a room and smoked his usual brand of e-cigarette for two five-minute intervals over an hour while the researchers measured air quality. The room was cleaned and ventilated and the experiment was repeated with tobacco cigarettes.

The researchers measured nicotine levels of 2.5 micrograms per cubic meter of air in the first study. Nicotine levels from e-cigarettes in the second study were slightly higher at about 3.3 micrograms per cubic meter. But tobacco cigarette smoking resulted in nicotine levels ten times higher at almost 32 micrograms per cubic meter.

"The exposure to nicotine is lower when compared to exposure from tobacco smoke. And we also know that nicotine is relatively safer when compared to other dangerous toxicants in tobacco smoke," Goniewicz said.

E-cigarettes also produced some particulate matter, but regular cigarettes produced about seven times more. E-cigarettes didn't change the amount of carbon monoxide or other gases in the air.

"What we found is that non-users of e-cigarettes might be exposed to nicotine but not to many toxicants when they are in close proximity to e-cigarette users," said Goniewicz.

This was in the new your dailey newspaper. And lots more like it on the webs try googling it. States dont just "ban it for no reason"

  8. E cigs are banned in some places as they emit nicotine into the air and can be inhaled by not users, much like real cigs. Second hand smoke(vapor).

And although it may not seem like much if u have a heart problem nicotine can narrow you veins and blood flow.

It can be a problem if u are beside someone smoking one.

Most people believe they are just a vapor. Not so.

Enjoy them in the smoking area PLEASE.

  9. How late can u board the ship?

Im a first time cruiser. As i read this threat it seems everybody wants to be the first to get on the boat. Would it be better to board later after many have already boarded. Then use the fifty i saved to buy myself a drink or 2 until my room is ready. Will my luggage be ok sitting beside me at the table or at the bar?

There is no tendered port so should be ok there.

Anybody else do this and if so does it work out for u?

  10. We booked through carnival in the fly aweigh program which is your flight with guaranteed connections. It also includes hotels as they fly you in the day before your cruise. They have put us in the Sofitel in Miami.

It has a shuttle service to the port of Miami. And hotel and flight was cheaper then what i could book a flight for from Canada. We also book tranportation from Carnival. Its 16.00/ person from mia to hotel and then to port the next day.

  11. Thats what im trying to say, thought i explained it by telling the prices. Sorry for the confusion. What im saying is im paying more for the third person then the first 2.

If i book 2 people it 499 per person.

With 3 it 559 for the first 2 and 579 for the third.

I have checked and this is the correct price. Could not tell me why.

It just is MORE for the THIRD PERSON then the first 2.

  12. I am paying 559 for the first 2 people, the 3 third is 579.

I guess what im trying to figure out is why is a third person more, and not the same or cheaper. This is what shows on my invoice.

As i checked today by booking for 2 people it is 499 for room 1011.

I am in 1032 the room is the same size it just has 1 more bed. So i pay more for a bunk then a full bed on the floor. Go figure 579 for bunk

    559 for bed.

I guess im used to resort pricing.Where 3rd and 4th in same room are always cheaper as it is still only 1 room.

  13. Im a new cruiser and booked early, so i keep checking to see if the prices goes down. My final payment is do next week.

I checked today and mistakenly put 2 passengers in instead of 3.

The price was $40 cheaper with 2 in the same category room then it is for 3.

I always thought it was cheaper to put more in one room.

Anybody hear of this before. Any suggestions?
