  1. I've been on both Princess & P&O: much prefer Princess, its better in most areas. We didn't enjoy the food on P&O, the menus are limited in choice. If you like a table for two, then the MDR has a long "bench" seat along a wall, with small tables very close together with a chair opposite. You get served as though its a table for twelve....not something we enjoyed. We also thought the shows were better on Princess.

Other facilities eg: pools, Spa, gym, casino, bars etc were very similar.

Cabins very similar although you get a kettle in cabins on P&O for making your own tea/coffee which we "Brits" like!!

This was on the ships Grand Princess & P&O Ventura so very similar in size, layout etc.

If there's anything else you'd like to ask please fire away.

  2. Thanks for the info on prices. Do you have to pre-book or just turn up? Feel for you people suffering the big freeze, we're in the UK not cold but, lots of floods!! Take care all of you in the snow & ice:(

  3. Do you have to pay to go in the Ice Bar?? We are on Getaway but assume it will be the same as for Breakaway/Epic? Do you need to pre-book or just turn up?

Anyone know whether Tropicana Dining room (with dance floor) is complimentary or not?

    Thanks

  4. I have reserved 2 seats on My NCL for Legally Blonde, do you get a specific seat or is it just a ticket & you choose where you sit?? How do I get the tickets once onboard? I', claustrophobic so prefer to sit on an aisle end of row & am worried I may be allocated a seat in the middle!!!

Any advice would be welcome as I believe Breakaway, Epic etc operate the pre book option.

  5. We are going on the one night inaugural cruise leaving Southampton on 15th January!! So excited, we're hoping to pack in as much as we can in the very short time & will take loads of photos. If anyone has any specific questions we'll do our best to post answers when we get home. So excited!!!

  6. Hi everyone, we've been lucky enough to be offered a none night taster on Getaway next week!! We board on 15th January in Southampton. We hope to explore as much of the ships facilities as our brief time on-board allows. So if anyone has any specific questions please let us know & we'll do our best to find out & post the answers. Please bare in mind we only have one night so won't be able to do everything.

A couple of questions for people who may have done a one nighter on Breakaway...was any of the MDR open for lunch?? Did you get a "programme" when you boarded of what was on? ie Show times etc

Getaway are advertising fireworks on all cruises, anyone think we'll get a display?

    We're really excited:)
