  1. Recommendations for who to book through for our Roatan day. Shore trips? Are there any great local tour guide companies. I think I read a ronystours.com recommendation? What are the options and what do you guys recommend?

I'll be there in March with my family (4 kids ages 6-14) and looking for what to do. I'm considering little french key or maybe West Bay beach to try to snorkel from the beach? I'd love recommendations. Its our first time in Roatan.

  2. We are in port from 10-7 and have booked ziplining from 12-3. Do we have time to quickly go to a beach too before or after that- without spending a lot of money or time on taxis? Any insight would be great. The port is Charlotte Amalie and the zip lining is at Tree Limin Extreme. Any help in planning our day would be awesome. We hate to miss out on the beaches because we hear they are beautiful. TIA

  3. Its not closed. Only the area where the camps were. The rooms are being refurbished. Kids will meet elsewhere

Im still a bit worried about that. Will the kids have less of an experience because they are using some spare room somewhere. It just makes me nervous and I wish I would have been told about it when we were booking.

  4. We just got off the Triumph on Thursday and the Camp Carnival room was closed due to the remodeling for the Camp Ocean. Surely it should be done by spring break!! I'm not sure how long it actually takes though.

Im a bit worried by this post as we cruise next week with our four kids. Is Camp Carnival closed? Thats sort of a big deal.

  5. I saw this website http://www.shoreexcursioneer.com/ where I could get a small discount on Playa Mia all day pass. I was planning to just take a taxi and then pay cash when I get there. Which is my better option? Does it matter?

ALSO: Can I bring in juice boxes for my kids and bottled water and small snacks for my kids so we dont have to pay for food or is that not allowed? Do they check bags?

  6. We currently have 8:15 dinner but are really hoping we can switch to the earlier time because we have several kids in our party. Anyone have experience getting them to switch you once onboard? Do I have a better shot with anytime dining or the early set time? I just dont want to eat that late. We'll probablly end up at the buffet most nights which I think would be sad to miss the dining room experience.

    TIA

  7. I know the question has been asked a million times but I am wondering specifically about when you have younger kids. There will be 9 kids in our group and I most want to be sure there are things to do for the 4 year olds in our group. I was looking at Playa Mia because they have waterslides but I have heard the sand isnt as nice. I have heard good things about Paradise Beach but with young kids??? Mr Sanchos?

Also we are cheap and dont want to spend money on an AI. We usually just eat a big breakfast on the ship that will last us till we are tired of the beach. So cost is an issue for us.

    Any suggestions??

    TIA

  8. We are leaving on the Triumph on December 6 with our kids and I know we should just be "go-with-the-flow" type of people but I really would like to know if there is a schedule for camp carnival. I'll have kids in all the age groups. Im looking for times as well as what activities they will do. I have tried googling it. Can anyone help me out?

  9. Progresso is one of the stops on our upcoming cruise. We will be cruising with our four kids and all we want to do is have beach time. I've read you can walk to the beach from the port. Is the beach free? I assume its just a public beach? Will I know how to get there? Whats it called? Will I see it? Is it close enough my kids can walk? Help please?

  10. Ive cruised before but this time will be my first time bringing the kids along. They are ages 4, 7, 10, and 12. Any advice?

Firstly I am wondering about the twister slide. I read that it is 42 inches height requirement and my son is 41 inches. I am preparing him to not be able to go but just wondering how strict they are. (and please spare me the lecture about being a bad parent- Im just asking)

Secondly, are the shows and entertainment appropriate for children or are they geared for adults?

Thirdly does anyone have a recent daily schedule so I can see an example of the activities going on throughout the day. Is there much for kids or will the kids be best off spending time in the kids club.

Lastly, my oldest is 12 but he'd rather stay with is 10 year old sibling. Will they let him go in that age group of kids club or are they strict about ages?

    TIA

  11. We are going next week and wondering what is the entertainment like? What are the shows?

Also is there a way to see menus ahead of time?

And anything else I should know or remember to bring...

So we just got off the other day. Any questions anyone may have - ask away. :)

One thing I do want to note is that Indy does NOT do luggage valet. I found that out the hard way, as I was told several times by the RCI reps on the phone before sailing that it is offered on Indy and I will have no problem doing that. When I got on board I found out that was not true, they do not do luggage valet.
