  1. I'm interested to see how you like it. We have an aft balcony on the legend also but in 7300. Does that mean my balcony is not covered? Our PVP indicated it was...

Really hope it isn't a bad room!

Hi, we had 7237 on Spirit and it was fantastic. Yes level 8 can see you if you are standing on the railing but cannot see you if you are seated etc. We have booked the same room for the TA from LA to Sydney in 17 days time as we loved the room.

  2. Queen Mary is only if the weather is awful.

Otherwise Early Checkin is in front of the Dome.

Diamond, platinum and suite will be in the little building in front of the Dome. FTTF checkin could be in either place. Ask for more info.

Thanks SadieN for the info, it is greatly appreciated and helpful.

    Regards

  3. Hi,

We are staying on the Queen Mary in LB for a couple of nights before we board the Legend to Sydney.

I have heard some conflicting stories about Priority Boarding.

Some say it is at the QM and others say it is in the terminal.

Has anybody recently done priority whilst staying at the QM?

    Any tips about boarding etc?

    Thanks for the help

  4. I have just booked a mid year 2105 cruise with Carnival out of Sydney Aust on Spirit. Not having sailed with them before I want to learn as much as I can. I have cruised RC only once so not a seasoned cruiser. What should I expect??

Unless you want to do otherwise expect a good time.

My wife and I are in our middle 50's and both enjoyed our trip immensely.

We have been to the islands before so did not get off at every stop but it was nice to re-visit old friends.

As some say the décor is tacky and the large gold/brown urns got me, but wait till you see the main theatre. They should have held the comedy in there its that bad.

The food was on the whole is good, except they cannot cook a sausage. I asked my wife if I could go into the kitchen and teach them but she would not let me.

We had an aft Vista suite which was magnificent, with a really comfortable bed.

The turbo tub was nice as was the separate bedroom. Would suggest this style of suite.

There were plenty of kids, drunks and loud people on the boat, but none of which were a bother. The one really loud drunk was on the first night and we never saw him again, think he may have visited the lockup.

All in All a great time, Tendering was slow but you have to expect this.

Enjoyed it so much we are heading to LA in August to catch the Carnival Legend to Sydney on its repositioning cruise.

Have a great cruise, you will enjoy it

  5. I thought suites could also use the VIP guest service line also. Carnival really doesn't give you much considering the cost of a suite. RC has a concierge to help you with everything you might go to the desk for and a lounge with free food and drinks. A reserved area in the theatre and pool and priority tenders, specialty restaurants and excursions. Princess has a free minibar set up, free dry cleaning and laundry. Celebrity has butlers and a free drinks in the evening.

Our next cruise is to Australia on the Legend and I have researched a suite on other lines and they work out at about double the price of Carnival. I effectively get my wife a trip for nothing, so you can keep the perks, they are nice, but not at double the price.

  6. Hi Mamatothree,

The changes are basically the same as the Carnival Spirit now sailing out of Australia,

They are getting the Legend ready for transfer to Aussie in September. go to carnivalcruises.com.au to have a look at the pics for Spirit. I was on her in July 2013 and it was a great ship and I am travelling on Legend to Aust from Los Angles in Sep 2014 so please let me know what it is like. Thanks AussieDale
