My experience is from a cruise ship from the port of Singapore. They accepted our Singapore money just fine. Anyway, when we were in Indonesia (not a cruise) we made sure to spend all our Indonesian money because it was hard to have them changed back to the dollar since its value was too low.

$500 doesn't sound so bad! It's just a little bit more painful when, in my case, I have to fly to Savannah or Florida just to board a cruise ship. :(

My first post and my first time to go on a cruise to the Bahamas. Wife and I are leaving from Savannah so we decided to stay a couple more days in the city because we have heard so much about it.

We are thinking of staying in the historic district but we don't want it to be expensive since the airfare and cruise have poked a large hole in our wallets. But at the same time, we are already in Savannah so we might as well tour it!

Anyway, has anyone stayed at Presidents' Quarters Inn? From the looks of it, it should be the center of everything but I don't want to get disappointed if it's not as nice as the pictures. :confused:

Also, if you guys have tips on where we can find the best seafood dishes, please feel free to suggest! Thank you!
