Just wanted to follow up and thank everyone for the intel. Just got back after missing my flight, not because of security but fog which delayed our arrival. Stayed an extra couple of days in Shanghai. FYI the security was about the same wait as other Chinese customs. Thanks again to those who shared!

I thought the same thing but it was not bad at all. In retrospect, I would have gone a lot faster and enjoyed myself instead of worrying so much. Taking the chair lift up was not too fun for me as I hate heights. Go for it!

Toboggan is great fun! I would have gone faster if not for the mother and child in front of me. FYI, I was concerned about safety but was relieved to know Germany helped to build the toboggan and restore this section of thenWall. It seemed very safe and I had no concerns about going or letting my small son toboggan on his own. Enjoy!

We just used China Highlights and they were outstanding. Small groups in a van with English speaking guides. Enjoy!

Anyone go thru Shanghai Boashan port recently and can share wait time for new Chinese fingerprinting/photo/customs procedures? We were notified by Celebrity less than a week before our cruise that we need flights departing after 6pm the day we disembark to accommodate this! We booked our flights last year for 1:30 pm based on 7:30 am arrival and last minute changes cost too much. We are worried about the wait and traffic to airport in the morning! Leaving April 1. Thanks!
