  1. A little off the topic, but can anyone explain to me how you can connect to the ship wifi to use the app but without connecting to cellular at sea? We'll be on Independence doing the med with UK mobiles soon so again are happy to use our 4G data when connected to european masts, but I know to use the Royal app you have to connect to their wifi which I thought meant turning aeroplane mode off. How do people do this usually?

  2. We've had 4 adults in a standard interior before and my mum and I pack a lot of makeup and shoes! We still had enough room for storage, the only issue we would ever have is shower time but that would be the same regardless of the cabin type. My advice would be to have some battery operated lights that you can use but otherwise enjoy the nice dark room to sleep in! When we had a balcony all we used it for was drying towels and swimwear pretty much, lol

  3. Hi all, this is my first trip on Jewel on the 30th of May sailing. I was just looking at the deck plans and noticed that there's currently a pizzeria in the solarium, but on the deck plan that covers my sailing this disappears. Are they taking it out? Are there any other small cafes on board? We're massive fans of a late night pig-out in the park cafe so I'm hoping that there's somewhere doing midnight c

We will be on this sailing as well - have you checked out our roll call? Can't wait!!

  5. Hi,

We;re taking our first cruise to Rome this summer and I'm trying to plan our day out without paying Royal Caribbean's extortionate prices. Looking at getting the train- does anyone know what it's like getting a seat on the train from Civitavecchia to Rome? I see that you can't book in advance and reserve your seat- could someone explain how it works please? Is it just first come first serve once on board? My mum has arthritis so will not be able to stand for an hours journey.

    Thanks in advance!

  6. Hi, does anyone have any recent pictures of the 'large' interior staterooms on Vision? Not our first choice of room type but everything else was sold out on our cruise! Interested to see what they actually look like, I've a feeling the little thumbnail you see on their website is a bit outdated.

Need to know if there will be enough room to smarten up for dinner without falling over each other! :)

  7. I sailed on Brilliance last summer, we bought the all inclusive photo package and made the most of it! If I remember rightly, there were a couple of backgrounds to choose from on non-formal nights and then around 4 or 5 on formal nights. We'd have mum+dad, daughter+son, whole group and a few individuals at every background! Plus photos taken at events, round the pool, on the climbing wall and during dinner.

The people working on the photo stand came to know our faces well and would even take out our photos and keep them together for us :)

We probably came away with about 150 photos :o
