I'll gladly take the Cloudy Bay

Just an FYI upgrading from the Premium to the Premium Plus package is $29per day/per guest.  If it was only $12/15 I'd be taking it just for the coffee.  AND everyone in the cabin has to upgrade, my daughter is joining me on this cruise and doesn't drink coffee or sparkling water - total upgrade cost is $243 each!  That's outrageous.  Hoping it goes on sale otherwise we'll keep what we have and just pay for our coffee.

Sorry you had a bad time. However, I think you really mean the upgrade isn't worth it for *you*.

For someone like me who would upgrade to be able to drink Grey Goose it certainly would be worth it. And since the cost is only like $10-12/day, it's kind of a no brainer. I think many others would say the same.

In the very specific case you mention above it's not worth it, but in many, many other cases it is.

Also, not sure what MDR wait times or food quality have to do with upgrading to premium bev package.

  3. Does anyone have recent knowledge of the order/timeline for debarkation for the Anthem in Cape Liberty? A copy of the letter summarizing the departure timing would be excellent. We are traveling with at group that has different levels of status and are trying to determine the best way to make flights around noon. I remember seeing that often times the RCI transfers get off earlier, sometimes even earlier than the priority departures assigned to the higher status levels. I know that cabs are frequent, so I am not looking for advice on how to get to the airport from the cruise terminal. I only want to know if the RCI shuttle will get us there quicker.

    Thanks,

    Frank

You can go to guest services once you are on the ship and request that your entire party disembark together (disembarkation is usually by deck). Make sure you have all the information for the group, cabin#, names and explain you all need to get off together; then make sure your group all has the same color luggage tags (once they are left in your room). Choose an area to meet (even if its one of your cabins) and go to whatever gathering point you are assigned for disembarkation together. Then you can all get off together. I do this every year with up to 50+ people all with different flight schedules - and I am not a travel agent - just sayin' I know how easy it is to lose somebody in the process!
  4. RCCL just closed a sale on Drink Packages (30% off), Dining Packages (20% off), Spa and Internet discounts also. The sale ended on 2/6/17; their website had problems and kept freezing while my group of 30 tried to book the promotion. RCCL was aware of the website issue when I called but basically told me that they could do NOTHING for my group. NOT FAIR! we probably won't sale with them again, Princess Cruises was much easier to work with and RCCL definitely needs to work on their customer service policy. I'm trying to reach out to someone in their Corporate office and have contacted the owner of my travel agency but so far RCCL isn't working with them either. It's too bad my group really liked RCCL and we switched from the other cruiseline to them, oh well, we'll see what happens. I'm not sure whether this promo will be offered again before sailing, I'll keep everyone updated.:(

  5. I am traveling with a group of 15 on May 17, 2014 on Oasis. Many in my group enjoyed the Chefs table on a previous cruise and would like to book it again. This is our first cruise on Oasis and I understand due to the size of the ship entertainment and specialty restaurants need to be reserved early. we are trying to plan our schedule for the week. Can anyone tell me how I can find out what night the Chefs table is offered? We'd also like to know which nights are formal nights.

Thanks for all of your help.

  6. I will be traveling with a group of 15 on May 17th sailing on Oasis. We have done the Chef's table on a past cruise and would love to do it again for this cruise. This is our first time on Oasis and I understand that because of its size we need to basically plan everything down to shows, specialty dining, etc.. Does anyone know how I can find out what night the chef's table is and also when formal nights are.

    thanks for the help.
