  1. My beautiful wife and I will set sail on the Gem, April 5 out of N.Y.

I really enjoy good food. It is important to me to really enjoy my cruise so I paid $298.00 for the Ultimate Dining Package. What the heck, 2700 for the balcony for nine nights, this is a no brainer for me. I will order 8 ounce filet Mignon with two or three sides at Cagneys and rack of lamb with all of the wonderful starters and sides at Le Bristo every night---can not wait. My question is, on this ship has anybody have some thoughts about breakfast and lunch. I can free wheel with pizza, wings, Indian food, just about anything--not a food snob--only for dinner.

  2. Hi folks,

I will sail out of N.Y. April 5 on the Norwegian Gem. I have a midship balcony on deck 10. What I would like to know, is there a coin operated laundry for guests on this ship?

  3. Hi folks,

This is my first time post. As George Burns said in the movie Oh God-A test, hope I pass.

My wife and I love to cruise and I do all the research. I need help here please.

I will be on the Norwegian Gem. We hit one of my favorite ports April 9, Philipsburg/St. Maarten. I found out that there will be six ships in port the same time. My wife wants the security of a booked ship excursion. I always feel I need at least two more hours at the beach ( Orient Bay ). I lean toward renting a car but a cab is 20 bucks or so one way. Question- is there any risks in not finding a cab to go back to the ship with so many ships in port?

    Thanks
