  1. Just off the BA and in talking with the staff at Uptown it will change over to Margaritaville the end of June. They will block that area off during a sailing and do the changeover and they said there will be a cost for the food. E

We're on the June 19-26 sailing and I noticed The Breakaway doesn't sail again until July 1st for a nine day cruise. Maybe they'll change things during the week they're not sailing? Are they really not sailing for a whole week?

  2. Large thighs: it is better to wear a swim skirt or can this make you look even bigger on the bottom?

I never thought I would buy a swim dress because I always thought they were too 'old ladyish'. I have a big tummy and large thighs but I'm small on top. I decided to try a swim dress because I was sick of trying to find a one piece that would fit, and they would show every bump and lump that I go to great lengths to try to hide with clothes on. :p Well, I'll never buy anything BUT a swim dress now. They don't make you look larger, they are actually much more flattering because they hide your thighs and your tummy. For the first time I could walk around in a bathing suit and not feel self conscience. Get one and see what you think!

  3. This may sound like a silly question, but I was thinking about getting a Vibe pass for my elderly mother if possible. I thought that it would be a place she could relax and know that she was able to get a seat. She is concerned that she would be up there with a bunch of young couples and would feel out of place? Do you find this to be true?

We're on the same cruise! :D

We had Vibe passes a couple of years ago and found a wide range of ages there. People are very friendly and you get to know just about everyone. We found most people sat in the same spots each day so if she goes, just find her a spot and she can call it 'her' spot. lol I'm sure she'll be well taken care of. :)

    This was 'our' spot:

These are the stairs that lead up to the Vibe area. At the top of the stairs, you go to the right and you'll see the entrance to The Vibe.

Here's the entrance to The Vibe. We were in port that day so it was actually empty outside of the entrance, otherwise it's quite crowded in that area.

  4. We were on Deck 12 with an aft balcony and even with the door closed, we could hear the music from Spice, especially the bass. We were too tired at night for it to bother us.

I know the A/C would shut off once it reached a certain temperature in the room. Although, I'm not sure it was completely off, just not as cool. We would turn the 'quick cool' (snowflake) button on and it would stay on longer. Most nights I went to bed freezing, but with that heavy blanket on the bed, I'd end up waking up hot.

  5. Oh I know exactly what you mean about the lens fogging up! For some reason that didn't happen to me this time. I do have a lens filter on it - just a clear one, to protect the lens. Now I have no idea if that helps or not. And I can't remember if it fogged up much on our last trip to Europe, because it certainly was hot during that trip! But my old camera would constantly fog up and yes, made me crazy! One thing you could do if you remember is to put it out on the balcony for a few minutes to let it adjust before you go outside and start taking pictures.

Check the camera forum here too. I seem to remember reading a thread with posts on how to prevent the lens from fogging up. :)

Have a great cruise!!! And I think you'll enjoy the golf! It was a nice way to finish up our time in Bermuda and no real stress to rush back to the ship.

I'm so glad it wasn't just me that happened too. lol I'll have to check the camera forum and see if I can find something about that.

Do you remember how long it took you to play at Fun Golf? It didn't look crowded when you were there. I can't believe we leave in three days!

  6. I'm so glad you mentioned Fun Golf! I love how all the holes are based on famous golf courses. My husband will get a kick out of that. I was looking for something to do on the last day in Bermuda and this could be perfect! We leave this Sunday!

I have a question for you about your camera. The last time we were on a cruise, I brought my DSLR camera and the lense kept fogging up when I went from inside the air conditioned room out to the warm air. Did you ever have that happen to you? It was just a nuisance to have to wait for the lense to 'defog'.

  7.

LazyDays64: I think there's a Comedy/Magic Show on the ship. I'd like to know when and where that is – The comedy/magic show is Friday (not sure where or time – will check the Dailies when I get home).

Thanks for the info! 25 more days for me!:D

Can you clarify for me that the Chef's Table starts at 6:30 and goes until 10:00?

spittingkitty, it's good to hear that even though you had Group 39 you were still able to get Vibe passes. We're going to try to get them too.
