Has anyone heard back on an upgrade offer on April 2 Getaway sailing. I don't mind not getting it, just the lack of communication on this process is a bit startling.

We also did the ferry on our own and we had the fun of our five year old getting sick. He was fine once we got off, but the ride that morning was definitely rough.

I never saw any strict time limit imposed. In my experience in the Haven, both my wife and I had UBP, and my father in law stayed with us as well and didn't.

At any meal or at any bar I just led with my card and my father in law never had to present his card and at all and drank for free pretty well the whole trip. He didn't abuse it all, and we were ready to pay for his drinks, just was never asked.

I would expect it to work out in similar fashion. And with the promotions being offered in the Haven, if your daughters always did the ordering I doubt it would matter.

For spring break schedules, a lot of spring breaks are scheduled around Easter. Next year Easter is April 16, so I would expect April 9-22 to be much heavier. However, I think April 2-9 should be much lighter in terms of Spring Break crowds.

Also use that UDP for Margaritaville for lunch. We did that a few times.

Agree with Pumpkin. I had to fight for my 25% off at Food Republic, but got it eventually.

We utilized UDP to the fullest. Had dinner with the whole family, then usually would have a separate booking for just the wife and I later for a light dinner/dessert. Going to miss that ability with SDP.

We didn't do Pinchas, but did Bayamo for the $15 up charge.

I also booked in March 2015, sailed Jan 2016.

I love reading this review because we are in a very similar boat for our cruise in January. My parents, my father in law, my wife, and our 3 kids (2,3,4) will all be sailing on the escape on the same itinerary.

Thanks for all the great kids club, aqua park, and excursion info. I think we are very much leaning to do simple beach excursions like you have done. The only thing we are on the fence about is going to see the baths in Tortola. I know it would be an adventure with our kids, but I think they could handle it. Did you give any thought to doing that with your kids?

I am as well. Can we all request the same thing. Btw totally unrelated but I had success getting to book the Brat Pack dinner show for free on the first night using UDP (pre SDP version.)

I have always loved using UDP at two places for a late dessert and early dinner.

Just saw the new pricing on another site. Burgers $6.99, margaritas $10.95, key lime pie $3.99. I was told on the TA that this was going to happen.

I don't this is a super deal breaker for me. But I'm curious, do you think there is any precedence to grandfather people who booked when Margaritaville was complementary?

Curious to see the effects of UDP/SDP there as well. Anyone have any thoughts?

I will be on a sailing with my kids in the new year and was wondering if it is possible for children to earn latitude reward points. If so, do I just sign them up like I would sign up for any other adult before the cruise and link the reservation? Or do I handle this on the ship.

I know I read something about this before, but I couldn't find anything via the forum search.

Thanks for the suggestion. Anyone else have any ideas. The kids have been to places like that in the past. Curious if there is something unique. Would a boat charter that stops at beaches be a neat way to see the island?

We are stopping at St Thomas with NCL in late January and was looking for excursion recommendations for a family of 8. There are 3 kids (4,3,2) so anything too extreme is out. But would like to see a bit of the island and maybe relax at a beach.

With our group of 8 should we arrange something private and should we do it ahead of time?

Anyone see in the freestyle daily that they reference Guppies for six months to under 2. I was pretty sure it included kids who were two. Are two year olds going to be orphaned in the kids programs?

Living in the states I want to book in Canadian funds too. 1 usd = 1.25 cad then 1.1 cad = 1 usd with the ncl conversion. Just made 15 cents on every dollar. Even in the banks take a percent or two that could be an easy 10% savings.

I actually meant the speciality dining fee. If you eat from Cagneys in your room, is that fee waived just like it would be if you ate at the restaurant itself.

If you have UDP, and want to dine in your suite, to have to pay the service charge?
