  1. Oh, this is a FUN idea! You’ve inspired me to make one for my teens. Some suggestions I might include in addition to some of these great suggestions:

    Pictures of

-ivory figurine (found in piano bar)

    -bottom of a lifeboat

-carved fruit (bonus for a watermelon)

    -show performer

    -circular window

-orange pencil-style artwork drawing (if I’m not mistaken each floor’s hall art is differently colored...I know Deck 6 has orange)

  2. Party of 3 flying into Logan, then staying overnight at a Copley Square hotel the night before our cruise. I've got airport to hotel transport figured out (Logan/Back Bay Express), but am confused about how to get from our hotel to Black Falcon. Looking for recommendations of the best method, considering we'll have suitacases to roll.

If I were to catch a taxi, is there a taxi drop off point at Black Falcon? Or would a taxi have to sit and wait through the same luggage drop off lane as those arriving by personal vehicle?

  3. We have been upgraded to a suite after full payment (including prepaid gratuity of $189 each) was made on a balcony cabin. I remember reading on these boards that suite grats were more. Are suite grats, in fact, typically more than a regular cabin? And if so, does my bid price cover that adjustment?

Also, if I had originally booked a suite would the grats they add for a regular cabin for UDP and UBP usually included?

  4. I've been to Bermuda before and am somewhat familiar with how convenient the bus system is. I'm looking to go from St. George to Admiralty House/Clarence Cove (on the way to Spanish Point). From looking at the bus map it appears I should take bus 11 from St. George, then get bus 4 toward Spanish Point. I spy a little dot on the bus 11 map, just before it would turn south towards Hamilton which looks like a stop. If I had a 2-day bus pass can I just get off there and switch busses from that stop, or must I go into Hamilton and catch bus 4 from the starting point?

  5. Sheesh! I'm glad you discovered the rule before it prevented your perfect plan from taking place!

I'm curious WHY these other countries require the six month expiration requirement. Anyone know? They think you'll love their country so much they want you to be able to stay?

FWIW, we've cruised on Carnival to Caribbean ports and Carnival line also has the six month expiration requirement.

  6. What Heidi said about going to the greet on night one! I have 3 girls and they always meet a few kids that first night that they wind up hanging with the rest of the week (some they are still friends from cruises years ago). They don't necessarily participate in all the club activities...Sometimes just make a plan to meet at ping pong tables or pool at a set time and go from there.

I remember before our first cruise they were worried about no phone service, etc., and that it'd be boring. But I think the reason the cruise friend bond is strong is bc it is face-to-face interaction and FUN without those electronic distractions! One of my daughters will be 18 this year and beside herself upset at the thought of being too old for the club. Not much for 18-21 year olds to do.

  7. I just booked my dining. Seven night cruise, had 3 free, but booked 4 with one being a backup. There are 5 in my party. We really want to try Moderno but for some reason the seating choice only allowed for parties of 2, 3, 4 or 8 on any day, at any time. I hit it right at midnight when reservations opened so it's impossible they were all booked. Is this something I can have adjusted by calling, or by going to the desk once I'm on board, or are there no tables accommodating 5 (or 6)?
