Just off the Allure - St Martin, San Juan & Labadee. I was traveling with my Family total of 13 people. Myself, Sister & BIL did this cruise rest of family did a B2B. It Was a wonderful cruise we were on the Allure back in 2014 so it did not take a long time to get the layout of the ship. We were all on deck 11, I was in 11566 with beds near the door. My stateroom attendant was very good no problems at all, he kept ice in my parents cabin, and as always had the cabin made up in no time.

 

Both my Mom and I needed assistance to get onboard and Royal has this down to perfection. Once we got to the pier one of my sisters went to find out where we should go. The is a sitting area right near the doors to wait in. So my Mom & Dad, myself and Sister & BIL waited there the rest of the family waited in the rather long line they told us the whole family could board together but we didn't want to take advantage of this service. So within about 15 minutes they came with wheelchairs and took us around the long lines into a line for wheelchairs and such. Our group of 5 were checked in and on ship within 20 minutes, once on board we went to the Champagne Bar to wait for every one else, they were all there with in 20 minutes.

 

So we had a drink or 2 then went to our cabins. So of the luggage was already there. I had my 2 pieces of luggage and Walker by 2:00. So I unpacked for the week - side note I used packing cubes for the first time and it was wonderful and made unpacking and repacking a breeze. Went to the Muster Drill then back to our Cabins and Balconies for Sail Away. We had the late seating for dinner, we only ate the there on the first night and the Second Formal night as a group the rest of the time we all did different places. Though one night we all ate at Chops. Service and food were great everyone enjoyed.

We sailed on the Oasis last year - Allure this year - my question is about Blue Planet - there are only two nights that it is showing - is that typical. I wasn't sure if because I booked shows on other nights if it was only allowing me to see two nights of availability.

Thank you - The Oasis had an ice cream shop last year that I think had sweets in it. It was not free but no donut shop.

To be the best of my knowledge it is above the queen size bed. (Which imo is the weirdest place to put it).

Thanks - I completely agree and thought maybe someone would respond that it was in a different spot but I saw a video with it over the bed. Now that our granddaughter (3) is in a "big girl bed" she probably won't want to be in a pack in play. Our grandson is 7. So she would probably have the pull out and he would have to be over his mom and dad's head? Just not good in my opinion.

I was just reading a review of a person who just got off last week.

He said he was told that towels had to be returned at the end of each day or you would be assessed a $25 fee.

Is that correct? Correct as in - returning them at the end of each day - not so much the fee. :-)

Thank you - that is the night we have the ice show at 7 and were going to go to the Windjammer anyway - husband loves lobster. (I'm allergic). so they have lobster on the first formal night too?

There is a rumor that they serve Lobster in the Windjammer on the first formal night of the cruise on the Oasis.

We will be stopping at Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Kitts - how are the mosquitos? Just wondering if I need to pack the bug repellant - trying to lighten the load.

There are about 4 places I'd like to visit and at this point I don't know who in our group wants to join in.

Can we get off the ship and find a taxi service/tour van to take us to those destinations without having to set something up ahead of time?

The beach is free, you will pay for lounges/umbrellas. Use of the restrooms is for paying guests as is typical, not sure how that is enforced. If you buy something no worries!

Yes. I love Emerald Beach and try to visit when we go to St. Thomas, even if the ship docks at Havensight.

Is there a fee to use the beach or just for chairs and umbrellas? What about facilities?
