That's great. Thanks for the info. We haven't been on Allure in a few years and I'm trying to get ahead of the rush! Thanks again!

Does the price for the zipline ever go down with the shore excursion sale and promotions Royal does from time to time? It is currently $105 and I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and book it. We have never been to Labadee. We are also thinking about renting a beach bungalow over in Columbus Cove. Any tips would be welcome! Thanks!

We've been on both and loved both!

Thanks! Do you recall seeing any paperwork in your cabin that had the latest departure time?
I believe it was 9:45.

We just did a guaranteed ocean view on the June 11 cruise. It was our first time to try this. We ended up in 7600. Not a bad room. It did have a lifeboat right in front of our window. It didn't really bother us at all. Looking back, I'm glad I saved the money. Hope that helped!

How was disembarking? I need to set up a shuttle time pickup to get us back to FLL, I am in no hurry. I'm sailing in later July.
Is 10:00 ok? Do they kick you off super early? Or is it a slow process? Thanks
We did the walk-off and were off the ship and through customs by 8:15.

We always book balconies but had an ocean view on Empress. It was fine. Go for the drink package.
Junior Suites do not qualify for the 2 points per night like a regular suite does.

I agree with everything above. The ship looked great. The crew were very personable and helpful. MDR staff were amazing. The sea day brunches in the MDR were very good. We loved it! We also brought a group of 3 first time cruisers with us and they love it as well. So many quaint little areas with great views to sit all around the ship that bigger ships just don't have. We would absolutely sail her again!

I'm on now and we've had 70s, 80s and 90s. We arrive in Key West tomorrow morning. Quest is tonight at 10:30 but after a long day at the pool, not sure we'll make it but will try!
Great so far!!!

I do have two more questions;
Do the rooms have mini fridges in them?
Was there storage under the bed for suitcases?
These may be dumb but would be helpful to know!
Thanks again!

Thank you for taking the time to post this review. We sail on Empress this Saturday, June 11. I have already warned my wife about the deficiencies that may not be corrected by our sailing. We are going into it with the "we are on vacation" attitude and make the best of it. We both also have the drink packages! I think Allure and Liberty really spoiled us! Thanks again!
Where were y'alls cabins located?

In Galveston, the porters stopped taking the water but did let us carry it on. We've always taken two cases for a 7 day cruise.

Because I've not posted before I'm not sure what I'm doing. I have a question about Island Marketing Ltd. I have attempted to contact them 4 times. They have not answered the "Live Chat" and have not answered my emails. Are they still in business? Any help would be appreciated.
I actually did the live chat with them today about some of the excursions they offer in Cayman.

So what did you end up doing Royal? Did you rent gear? Also as a side question, Did you enjoy the Liberty of the seas. I am taking the same cruise in October, just starting to do my research.
Well, we did end up buying some decent quality snorkeling gear off Amazon. Unfortunately, a front passed through Cayman the day we arrived and the wind was forecast to be pretty bad. The captain ended up skipping the port for safety reasons. Because of that, my wife and I are taking Empress there in June. We will try it all over again then.
Liberty was beautiful. We were the third group on her after the shipyard work and you could tell she looked great. Food was good, entertainment was good, very enjoyable overall. We will be on her again April 2017 if not sooner.

I'm guessing it will be more of a casual cruise than most of the other RCI cruises. No formal nights and such make me believe that. I'm not to concerned about the partying.

I'm also a lanyard wearer. Mine has a clip for easy removal for scanning. I like it where I always know where it's at.

You order off the menu all day long. We've been there twice and are going back in February. We've always enjoyed the food there.

We are planning to spend the day between Sunset House Resort and Smith Cove, swimming and snorkeling. Where would be the best place to rent our snorkeling gear?
Thanks!

We are thinking about heading to Smith Cove after we get on for a morning swim and snorkel. Afterwards, heading to Sunset/ My Bar for some food, drinks and more snorkeling for the rest of the day. What are recommendations for transportation? Also, where should we rent our snorkeling gear to use for the day?
Thanks so much!

If BEACH (ie SAND) is required, then dismiss this recommendation. If oceanfront with beautiful views, great snorkeling, excellent food and drink at super prices, I'll recommend Sunset House resort.
It's about a mile south of town (just turn right from the docks and head along the road until you reach Sunset House) and few cruise passengers go there. It's a dive resort, but has an awesome big bar - My Bar, and plenty of tables and umbrellas for you to use. There is no sand, though. It's iron shore, so you are basically sitting on on top of the rock (coral?) but that's what makes it great snorkeling.
We headed there on a recommendation on a cruise a few years back and absolutely loved it. We spent the day in and out of the water, having some nice cold beer and eating conch fritters and burgers. It was lovely. Uncrowded, plenty of space to spread out, good music, etc. There is a pool and shower there as well as a "natural sea pool" to get into the ocean and get acclimated before heading out for snorkeling.
Thanks for suggesting Sunset. I will look into it!

Do you want the best snorkelling or the best beach? Would you need facilities at the same location or for afterwards? Quieter or more of a social atmosphere? A few more details would be helpful in determining what to recommend...
Ok, we are thinking more of a relaxing beach with facilities and food/drink. Next priority, snorkeling, then beach itself.

Hello All,
Heading to GC for the first time in Feb. We are a group of 4 adults, no children, looking for a good place to snorkel and relax on the beach. Definitely will be looking for food and drinks as well. We are not interested in the stingrays or turtles. Thank you for any suggestions!

Where can I buy the small RCI ship models online? We just returned from a cruise on the Navigator and I'm shooting myself for not buying one on the ship. I'd like the Navigator and the Mariner to start my fleet!
Cobalt Custom Charters

Hello,
Does anyone have any experience with Cobalt Custom Charters? We are looking to use them on our upcoming cruise to Georgetown. The TripAdvisor feedback looks good, but I could not find anything here.
Thanks!
