  1. Hello! This just happened to me a few weeks ago. The difference is my excursion had no age limit, but they would not allow me to book my 2 year old. When I called Carnival for help, I was happily surprised that I couldn't book her because there was no charge for her to attend. They instructed me to book the excursion for the rest of my party, and that either "3 and under", or "2 and under" (cant remember) were free. :D

  2. Thank you for the recommendations to try Island Time Charters... I have sent my deposit and you have helped us turn what probably would have been ok port experience into one of the best days ever! I am really anticipating this trip... we are going to do the 6 hr tour. Haven't decided if we will have them provide our lunch and booze yet :) but wow... after ready those trip advisor reviews, I couldn't have emailed them fast enough. Its a little pricier than I originally thought, but since the charter bill will be split between us and my parents, its cheaper than forking out money to go to Atlantis. I have a young baby (will be 17 months old at Cruise time) and needed something that everyone would enjoy... My son will be 6 and instead of trading off the baby to ride waterslides and wait in lines with him, we will now all be kicked back on our private boat swimming, fishing, snorkeling and in general living the life.

  3. Definitely following this thread. My husband makes the best drinks and I was telling him he needs to enter the contest this time. Its funny, just last night we were talking about this and wondering aloud what the ingredient options might be... and then this thread pops up :)

  4. Hi, you probably have already gotten the answer to this, but Yes... Seuss at Sea is on the Magic now :) I just was exploring it last night on the Carnival website. I guess the characters might make surprise appearances around the ship, the brunch is $5 per person but looks to be like a great experience, story time, there is a parade where everyone gets a bunch of noisemakers and marches around the ship... I believe it starts with the Camp Carnival (Ocean?) kids and parents are welcome to join... among other things. Sounds like a blast to me. here is a great review with some pictures: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=46426363#post46426363

  5. The carnival website will tell you. :D Which ship? On most, coming soon to three. http://www.carnival.com/onboard/seuss-at-sea

I'm not sure how old your ds is, but check target dollar spot before you sale, they'll have dr seuss stuff for back to school. I picked up clearance stuff after we book, got a hat wipe board, pencils, a cup, two bags. I already had crayons (i use them for halloween for littles). Our library had coloring sheets for his b-day so I picked up a few to keep. I'll get dd more into dr seuss before the cruise.

Edit, I saw your ticker, yes, it's on the magic.

Thank you :) I am thrilled to see it on the Magic! It wasnt last April, but we didnt have DS with us anyway... I am mostly excited (on his behalf, of course ;)) for the parade... doesnt that sound like such a blast?!? He is 4 1/2 and I love the idea of checking stores... I will definitely get the Dr Seuss intros underway :D

  6. I love this review! Thank you so much for posting the pics and schedule. Does anyone know if every sailing has the Dr. Seuss activities now? I thought that was only select itineraries. We don't sail on the Magic until August, but my son is super psyched (he wakes up every morning singing "We're going on a Cruuuuuissse!!"). Here's hoping he doesn't get too shy on us, because I know he will have a blast if he goes...
